Okay I know very little about the Iron Man comics, I dabbled a bit in comics when I was younger, but I don't remember much, if any of the details to the Iron Man story. I do however love the movie, and think Tony Stark is the man. I know I'm hopping on a band wagon but whatever, entertainment is meant to be entertaining.
Could any of you guys that know the story well, tell me some of the differences between the movie and comics plot lines? Cuz I'm pretty sure Tony Stark, though pretty B.A. in the comics, was NOT a playboy, but I really don't remember.

Well the one thing that I know the most about the differences between comic and movie is the fact that they basically combined two different characters in order to make one new villain. They combined a guy named Whiplash whose weapons were whips, and one of the main stay antagonists the Red Dynamo (Mother Russiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa), and then made him into the villain of Iron Man 2.

That actually sounds vaguely familiar. The whole Iron Man story is really making me want to go back and try to find the original comics, I'm sure the scans exist online somewhere, because I def don't have the money to buy all of them! I'm not THAT interested lol

Haha yeah, well considering the time period in which the comics were initially written you might some rather...outdated ideals. To say the least.

Obviously i dont know much about Iron Man as much as i do with the Worlds Greatest Detective. but i think they pretty much got Iron Man down in the movies. the villain thing im not too sure cause the only well known Iron Man villain is the (i dont know if its the name but it sounds right) Mandarin and he hasnt been in the movies yet but Iron Man 1 and 2 are like Batman Begins where its the begining of the hero. (Iron Man V Mandarin in Iron Man 3?)
