Ok, I need help from you playstation folks, as you are probably the only ones who can help me on this. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to fix my ps3 download speeds. When running the network test, or speedtest.net on my ps3 it is listing my download speed of around 1-2mbs. I have an 18mbs download speed, easily hit that on my pc and have ZERO issues with my x360. However anything I try to download on my ps3 is ridiculously slow, and annoying.
I have searched and searched for solutions, and so far have gotten no firm fix for this. I have set a static ip, placed in dmz, manually set transmission rate to 11mpbs (which does up my speed to 6mbs but still WAY too low and I am not going to set my router to only transmit at 802.11b rate), tried going to a wired connection, NAT is fine.. but cannot get anything to set a decent dl speed.
It is NOT anything to do with peak times, or busy areas etc, and I have to assume everyone is not connecting at 2mbs for psn. So if anyone knows of this issue and how to fix it, PLEASE let me know!!! I have had this thing 1 week, and just not very happy with it as a console at all so far. :(
