Call of Duty 3 is amazing!

How many Call of Duty fans do we have around here?

I haven't played it that much as I did for GRAW or PDZ, but it is impossible to deny that Call of Duty 2 deserves the title of game of the year.
However, one thing is sure: Call of Duty 3 is going to rule as well!

Yesterday, I have the chance to attend the Be First To Play Call of Duty 3 event here in Belgium and I was astonished.

I'm glad I picked up a preowned copy because it was an amazing game and I wouldn't have played it otherwise. COD3 looks pretty good too, blowing up germans took on a new meaning again =D

I think CoD2 is the best shooter on the system right now (nothing against GRAW), but I rarely play it anymore because I don't really have anyone to play the game with. I am not completely sure if I'm getting CoD3 yet because there are so many other games coming, but I have read glowing previews for the game lately. I am hoping playing it at Digital Life will make me get the game.

Were the vehicles easy to drive? That's the biggest addition in my opinion, as long as they are easy to drive.

did they fix the spawning mechanism? when I played a few weeks ago, it was ridiculous, the other team spawned behind mine and destroyed us right off the bat.

oh, vehicles are fun to drive, and even more fun to run over people with! hehehe

Thr first CoD was Ok, I hated the second one alot and on top of that I am getting very tired of WWII games. I'll be playing RainbowSix and Splinter Cell instead.

I did not play the multiplayer myself, but I didn't hear any complaints about respawn.
And since everyone was just getting the vehicles and having fun, I don't think it was any difficult at all. ;)

same here flip :D i was godlike on cod2 when it came for pc..sadly...there wasn't much interest in it ( at the beginning because cod1 ppl like cod1 better for some reason ) so i quit :( can't wait to play cod3, gonna be fun :) i wonder how its going to be on the Wii...seems a bit interesting..looks like ill have to go try it at a friends house when he gets it :D

CoD2 has been solid online after they patched it, but the increased amount of players online (24) and vehicles should make CoD3 even better.

OMG COD, I love this game so much. I have to admit to being a diehard UO fan first, COD2 wasn't too bad it was just different is all. It did suck that there wasnt a punkbuster to it at first, but I have to agree the patches helped. I'm kinda sad cause I haven't heard anything about COD3 being for pc or any plans to even think about making it pc. I'm sure it'll be good though can't wait to play it.

I wasn't a fan of the multi-player on COD2. But I loved the one player campainge. It is by far the hardest game I have played yet! I am going to pick up COD3 just for the one player challenge. I love World War 2 games.

As with all preorders, I'm getting it before the official release so only one day to go =D

I think when you play online you have to choose from a class, not sure how they are using them but it will be mayhem online with vehicles.

Got the game today =D

The new campaign layout is pretty good, all of the different storylines are mixed up so you keep switching between characters.

Haven't played online yet but it sounds pretty good.

My brother got it today. I'm watching him play it now on my mini-break from my GoW marathon. It looks pretty cool again.

The multiplayer is where they made the most improvements. Looking forward to jumping online with it and playing the campaign once I can put GoW down.

An average of 86/100 based on 15 reviews is quite good, and from what I've heard, this game is awesome as anything. I might be tempted to pick it up, but I think I'll save my cash towards THP8 and GeoW instead, and I might pick this game up around Christmas.

I think they might have sacrificed the single player a bit. I managed to get about halfway through in 3 hours, but in no way was it dissapointing. The levels are a bit short for my liking although it isn't just 'run over there and kil some Germans, then run over there and shoot some more' on every mission and the mundane parts like setting charges have been made more interesting as you have to actually do something other than press and hold a button.

Seems like I just bought Call of Duty 3, and I've been chugging through some of the campain - the campain isn't as fun as the campain in Call of Duty 2 (framerate issues, misc. glitches (people falling through the ground, shooting from the other side of walls, etc), but I hope that the multiplayer on this game will make it all worth it.

As soon as I'll get Gears of War and Tony Hawk's Project 8, I'll be all set untill 2007.

On the second american level, right near the end, McCullin had the strange ability to jump through ceilings. And in the first SAS mission there is a wall that starts warping if you move towards or away from it.

Maybe you should try doing veteran panda? Just don't expect it to be any less buggy than any other difficulty.

I think this game could be great, but since I picked it up on the day of release i've hardly played it.

The campaign is slow and unoriginal but not bad, the multiplayer is a nightmare! Connecting to a game is like waiting for a bus, when I want to connect I can't, when I find a game I can connect to suddenly all the rest become available, and thats just the player matches, so I won't even go into ranked.

If they get an update out sharpish maybe this game can be brought back from the darkest pit of uglyness, but if they don't hurry it up then I think CoD3 will lose alot of its following.

Yes, CoD3 is great fun. Only Vegas has distracted me from it. I rack up the kills with the light machinegun. If you ask me, the U.S. machinegun is a bit too powerful, except in the close quarters maps.

Tanks are super fun, especially if you squeeze the left bumper button to make use of the coaxial machinegun while your main cannon reloads.

I got Call Olf Duty 3 for Christmas & honestly I ended up disappointed in it. The single player mode is not that good & when I first heard about vehciles being added in I was excited but now playing it they take the fun out of the game. But I guess that could also be due to the fact that by the time I actually get in a multiplayer game Im more annoyed at the fact that its just so hard to get in one & the patch pretty much fixed nothing :p

I LOVE COD 3 on xbox live.

Sure trying to connect to a player match can take a minute or 2 but once you are there its a blast.

Thougth COD3 was loads better then COD2, only played COD2 on the PC though and am yet to try the XBox 360 version.

Are you trying top play ranked matches or regular player matches? There is an issue with the Ranked matches that I don't have an answer for at this time. They don't seem to be able to connect you to a game very fast. Then whne you do get into a ranked lobby room, you may get booted before the match actually starts. As for player matches, I have had only minimal trouble getting into a game. Once in a great while it will tell me that I "cannot connect to all players" I have seen people offering sdvice for this on the 360 forums if it is something that happens often. Hopefully you don't get to frustrated and we can get intom a game together. Send me a FR and I will invite you to a game when I see you.

Ehh Recently its gotten alot better Glock if you noticed the ranked matches Lag and not being able to jump into one I mean also the players are not as clueless as they used to be I.E. (running away from war flags, Running away from the Headquarters etc..)
