Anyone familiar with AMV's?

Back when i was like 12 or 13 i used to watch a lot of AMV's, Also known as Anime Music Videos. They're really creative and take a lot of hard work and dedication to make. I used to make them aswell, I have two videos on my youtube account of AMV's i made ages ago!
One of Samurai X/Rurouni Kenshin and Hellsing.
I used to have one of Samurai X with the song Dead Bodies by KoRn! I lost it but it was my all time favorite video and a lot of people gave it a 9.5/10 rating :[ Only if i could make something like that again!
Has anyone besides me tried making AMV's or see them at least?

I'm familiar with them but haven't watched any in many many years, I suppose the charm just kinda wore off after a while. I never tried making any because I always figured that those who would be interested enough to watch the AMV have more than likely already seen the anime which the different clips were ripped from. Though I did give yours a watch and it's the first one that I've watched in so many years, and it brings back memories of when I first watched the original hellsing anime.

I'm also familiar with them, but I usually only watch them at cons (the competition stuff is usually really good!) I tried to make one a long time ago for an anime called "Air" using the song Nine Days (Story of a Girl). It was too much work and I lost interest halfway through.

i thought they were called MAD... least thats what i thought cause in the ones i seen they have MAD on the title. anyhoo i only seen a few from 2 animes that i like and i skip over all the other stuff cause majority of the time its just Naruto and: 1. Naruto sucks and 2. Reffer back to 1 lol

I happen to enjoy the Manga and even the Shippuuden series.
I will agree the original series is terrible and filled with ridiculous amounts of filler.

one of the best buddy there were others that were awesome but interstella 5555 just because it had music from Daft punk

I should say it is the best since it was probably one of the few that had a whole animation studio behind it doing everything from scratch for the album, as opposed to using clips from various random anime to make something for a song or two.

Ok. I'm a big, big amv fan. That also means I'm very, very picky :D I'll just give my opinion. It was kinda sloppy. Wasn't much with the timing. Kinda like you put some random clips together to a song. Now mind you, I cannot make amv's, and I'm not saying you are bad, just saying what I think and know. I think you can definitely improve, but Hellsing is an anime that is complicated. Now a days it's overdone in the amv world, and it's really just action, fast paced music, sync, and all that nifty stuff is about the only thing it has going for it. Definitely lemme know if you make another amv. Always look forward to seeing new ones :D

eh i still make a few every now and then, lately i've done betas
