Girl: Hey

Boy: What?

Girl: I really like you. And I... I think I'm falling in love with you.

Boy: Ok...

Girl: What do you mean "ok"?

Boy: I don't like you like that...

Girl: Why not?

Boy: I can't tell you... maybe another time...

From then on, the girl kept asking the boy "Why not?" whenever she saw him, and he kept answering the same answer of "I'll tell you later." Finally the girl got fed up.

Girl: I'm tired of this! Tell me why you don't like me!

Boy: Do you really wanna know why?

Girl: Yes!

Boy: It's because you're uglier than ANYTHING! What's the point of going out with someone when they're not pretty?!

Girl: But... I...

Boy: Just shut up and leave me alone!

The boy leaves and the girl is sitting there alone, crying her heart out. Then her cell phone rings.

Girl: Hello?

Mom: Sweetheart? I want you to go home, ok? I'll be home from work in a few hours.

Girl: Alright Mom.

Mom: I love you.

Girl: I love you too, Mom.

Mom: Bye Bye.

Girl: Bye

The girl heads home and once she got there, she went in the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror.

Girl: I'm not pretty enough...

She set to work, knowing fully well what she was going to do. 2 hours later, her Mom came home and heard the bath water running. She went upstairs to find the hallway flooded so she knocked on the door.

Mom: Honey? Are you alright?

She opened the door and was shocked at the site. The bath was overflowing onto the floor, and the water was tinted red. She walked over to see what was inside and screamed. There, her little girl was lying with cuts all over her face and wrists. Her Mom backed away and was going to run to call the police when something caught her eye. On the mirror, am I pretty enough now?

No one deserves to be told that by someone they love. If you find it messed up then forward this to everyone you know.

A person's appearance doesn't count. What counts is their heart inside of them and their personality. No one wants to be told they're not good enough...

I don't see why it's sad. If someone asks you out and you don't like them in the same way and they keep bugging you about it, it's kinda wrong. They don't like you in the same way. Get over it and move on. Trying to force them to like you is wrong.

The guy even tried to spare her feelings by not telling her. He was being nice. She kept bugging him about it, so eventually he had to tell the truth.

She got exactly what she asked for and then went all emo about it. Not sad at all. Just a story about people wanting something, and then not being able to handle it in the end and over reacting.

She might have been ugly to HIM, but as we all know "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

Anyways I don't find people committing suicide over something they asked for and so trivial as that sad at all. Kinda just makes me roll my eyes and go "dumb A$$."

As sad as the story is, it's true.

The only problem is, these days, people can't get around the looks barrier.

It goes both ways, men want women to look beautiful, all in the eyes of the beholder yes, but it is a chain reaction sent down the path. Everyone, want's everyone to look beautiful, as unfair as it is, beautiful people aren't interested in people who aren't beautiful. I hear it all the time, "I don't care about looks" well, on the contrary, most of the time, it's a lie, they want the person to be attractive, and when that person isn't, they don't get a chance. Unfair, yes, but it's the way we've taught ourselves to be, and it's sad.

Yes, but the chances of you giving a non-attractive guy a chance, over the attractive guy, isn't very good odd's for the non-attractive guy.

And that would make you a better person then 95% of the girls I have ever met. But then again you are only one in a sea of millions who would take the more attractive guy.

True that is a sad story, no one likes to be told they are ugly by someone they deeply love. And true he was trying to spare her feelings at first which kinda makes him an ok person. But he should have told her up front the first time and he should have chosen his words better. A less abrasive way of saying that would have meant the difference. Sure she was bugging him about it everyday, but he had a choice to tell her the first time. Leaving something openended like "I'll tell you later" and then never telling her is probably what killed her more than the spiteful comment. It was more of a disservice to her to keep her hanging like he wanted a lost puppy to follow him while he drags on. No one likes having their feelings hurt and trying not to do so to someone is nice and all but it hurts more in the long run. Whether she was gonna be hurt by it the first day would have been a very different reaction than waiting until the 100th day and then blurting it out because he was annoyed. He created his own annoyance.
Everyone has standards of what they want in another. She just wasnt his standard. And no one would be satisfied with their life if they went below their standards. Nice personality/really great looking it doesnt matter no one should go below their standards. Eventually someone comes along that is what you are suited for there are too many people in this world not to come across a few good eggs.
