Weapon Zoom issues

Alright, maybe someone can figure this one out for me. Recently I've been having a bit of a problem in Halo 3. If I have the Sniper Rifle, Battle Rifle, anything that zooms, sometimes throughout a game- either the entire thing or not- I have problems zooming. Either it won't zoom at all, or it will instantly max and un max my zoom.

I thought this might have something to do with the controller, however after last night- I've realized, it's not. My friend gave me his controller, after I discussed the problem- it didn't help. Though it happened in only two games, for about a minute before it stopped happening---- Where as with the other controller, it would happen in about six games, or more.

Any ideas about what could be causing this? It's starting to annoy me a lot.

Try installing the disc to your harddrive, it might be your disc acting up.

Hm, it's an idea- the problem is, I only use the ODST Matchmaking- I don't think there is a way to install that, is there? Because there is no campaign on the disc?

Hm, it's an interesting thought. Maybe I'll try to install the Campaign disc...

Actually, is it possible it could be the hard drive too? My Hard drive is actually, almost full- I think it's got about 2.4G left on it- due to it only being a twenty gig.
