Just a few days ago I said to myself "Yeah, we got 2 weeks to get this stuff together".. And now I'm looking at my calander and its 10 days away.. holy bajesus. Thats like.. not too long. I could take a nap and wake up and be there.

Whatever shall I do with all this time..? Rawr. I'm excited to see everyone again since CPL Summer, and meet people I didn't get to see last time.. Excited to ride the elevator of a 40 floor hotel.. Some poker, some games, some exploring of the Expo and MLG.. My 2nd big event ever (probably the last one in a while.. likely no CPL Winter for me). Rawr I say.

yeah it is gonna be so sweet. cant wait to see everyone and meet the people i havent met yet! Digital Life was absolutely awesome last year so it is going to be even better this year. Especially with the whole gang going.

Time flies. We will all be in New York before you know it.

This will be my first ever big event. Combine that fact with so many people going and I'm stoked. This should be a blast. I'll throw a rawr in there too. :)

I agree, very smart idea to post the weather, I looked at it a few days ago, and after the obvious 'wtf' moment, decided indeed long pants and long sleeve shirts were on the order of the day. (Then again, considering it is only 44 out right now and I'm used to it, I'll probably be comfy while you all are freezing :p )

In terms of pools, i don't think many within the city have them r33, and if they are they're usually listed on the site of the hotel. I didn't see any for the new yorker, the hotel PA, or the mariott (i might be blind though). I'll prob pack a suit anyway cause i'm a fish, what can I say :p

I also agree that it was a good idea to post the weather. I won't be freezing. :) I can wear shorts in cold weather, but I think I'll pass with it being that cold at night. Crazy that it's already time to start breaking out winter clothes.

The rooms arent' as small as I expected.. definately a lot of floor space. If you want to get a hold of me, I'm on the 33rd Floor (Free Wifi! Woo!) in room 3307. I'll probably be sitting here for the majority of the day until the people start coming in at midnight, unless I go down to the diner to get some food.

the blue hair look can be pulled off awesomely if done right, my ex has elecric blue hair, and it was one of my favorite traits of hers. She pulled off the look wonderfully too, she was a senior systems developer and operations manager for the inhouse software for a major fortune 500 health care company, and no one really gave a crap about it because she pulled it off perfectly :p

I can do the extra sleep part, but quite frankly the most I know of this hotel is the elevator.

Surprisingly it got to the 33rd floor very quickly.. not even 20 seconds I'd say. I had to look out the window to make sure I was on the 33rd floor.. yep.

It was a small aircraft (likely a private jet) that hit an apartment building.. I dont think they'll be closing airports for that. Far far from a terrorist attack if you ask me.

its all good, well, relatively speaking.

Looks like the plane belonged to the yankees pitcher, he was the only one they have confirmed onboard, had some kinda fuel issue.

Sad, but in either case, its been 100% ruled out anything suspicious and air traffic is as normal in the city, minus a restricted area around said building
