Athena Twin recently started a very nice informational thread on DoaCentral which sparked off a fairly heated but interesting debate about female gamers moving into the competitive fighting game community.

I knew some people there - great gamers - and the Dutch members were quite well organized (DOA Central is serious stuff), but never really managed to play with any of them.

It does suck that work is draining all my time, but I wish I could have some DOA fun with some girls every once and a while at least. :-)

You can PM her here on PMSClan or on DoaCentral since she's running training sessions and generally organizing the fighting game division.

There is also a fighting femmes board where only the ladies can post.

Time is an issue of course but it can be picked up a little here and there and Dead or Alive is pretty user friendly on the learning curve compared to some other fighters.
