In my opinion, I say throw out the TV and get a monitor. I have played on a 26", 42" and 52" TV and NOTHING compares to my 22" monitor. So, in my opinion, go with a monitor! It really has improved my reaction time and accuracy in gaming.

I picked up a vizio 37" from walmart and for being a lcd capable of 1080p I mus say I am quite impessed MW2 looks really nice and assassins creed 2 looks really really awesome

This. Monitors are what games are meant to be played on. You'll notice your eyes feel a lot better, black is true black, reaction time, etc.

for rythem and fighters i would play on a tube, as visuals(spotting people) doesn't matter and tubes give you less delay.(input lag, which would screw you up in fighters and rythem games) for all others, especially shooters an HD moniter with HDMI, you will see people ALOT easier and its less hard on your eyes.
