For everyone that knew Vantage, I am sorry to say that he past away in a car accident last night
he was hit by a drunk driver who ran a red light at over 80 mph on the wrong side of the rode and smashed right into the drivers side of his car. He was killed immedietly.
I knew he had some friends here so i thought you would all want to know. If you want to send him your regards, his gamertag is Stealthist, and his sister plays on it. I'm sure she would answer any message that you send to it.
He was a great kid, only 16. He was about to accept a scholarship for basketball to USC. He was also my best friend in real life, so I will miss him dearly. I hope that you all pray that he rests in peace.

It's a horrible thing when something like this happens, and I'd like to send my deepest condolences to you and his family. I can't believe that people still gamble with others lives by drinking and driving, it's bad enough that they may hurt themselves by doing so, but when you kill an innocent bystander you've messed up. Bigtime.
Our words probably wont be able to soothe any pain that his friends and family now feels, but lets atleast hope that the driver will get some pretty harsh punishment.
Again, sad to hear about your loss, and the fact that he was only 16 just makes things worse.

Even though I didnt know him in real life, I knew him from the forums and he was a good kid. Hes really going to be missed.. the chat will never be the same without him.

yeah 2 girls at my school died last month it really does suck. Justin was a cool kid i talked to him in the chat all the time. But what i dont get is that i was msging him him this morning at 2am so it must of happend after that or something cause he was talking right back to me with voice msgs.

this is very sad to hear. i don't know what you guys are going through, and i can't pretend to know what it feels like. everyoe experiences death differently. i know vantage will be missed, and my prayers go out to his family, friends, and everyone else that knew or cared about him..

oh my god.. I really can't believe this. He was an amazing person and a great kid. He was an exceptional athlete and a hard-worker. I can't believe that he is gone :(

yes buddy he was on halo at 11pm our time, you live in michigan it says so it would be 2am your time. His parents told me today that his club basketball team had rented out the ice rink to play broomball from 11:30-2:30am. He left around 11:15pm pacific time and was hit around 11:25pm about 5 miles from the ice rink.
once again he was my best friend in real life so i can only hope he will rest in peace

I didn't know Vantage personally, but he was a member of our community and my heart goes out to his family and friends. I can't imagine what they are going through right now. I think it's horrible that a person so young lost his life because someone choose to be reckless and drink and drive. Please send my condolences to his family.

I remember him as a presence on our forums, and I'm sure the entire community expresses and offers our condolences for this loss to his friends and family. Hopefully, everyone will learn from this, and proper consequences will be forthcoming. He will be missed

damn. I'm sorry, I didn't know Vantage, but I've seen him around, and he was cool. To quote a Billy Joel song "only the good die young", and from what I can tell, he was a real good guy.

man i was just lookin through some old photo albums and i found some pictures of me and vantage from 2nd grade basketball. This brings back so many memories...

I lost my brother when he was 12 so I know that you will definitly have to cry untill you can't cry anymore and then you will have peace.

Same thing happen 2 me, some smart guy took a red light and took me out on my (drivers) side. Sliced my car in 2 parts. It missed right behind my seat about a foot..crazy stuff , im glad 2 be alive. Sry for your loss. RIP

I didnt know you, but I know the feeling. Ive lost more family members to accidents where people have been on drugs or alcohol than I would care to remember.

this is so hard to hear and when I read it, I had to read it again just for it to sink in. He was a great person to talk to and joke around with. I'll miss his wit and how amazing he was at executing jokes at the perfect time. This accident however was very untimely especially for someone as happy and joyous as vantage. I couldn't even sleep last night b/c I was thinking about how something as tragic as this could happen to literaly anyone.
I was hit with an idea that I think is good and would show that he not only touched the lives of those that he lived near but those all over the country. The idea I had was that I would start a sympathy card for his family and I would mail it to the next person and that they would then mail it to the next. Each time writing some kind words for his family to read, about how we were all connected to him no matter how far the distance in between us was. Until finally it reached the house he used to live in.
If anyone is interested in doing this for his family in memory of vantage, pm me your mailing address and we can start this as soon as possible

actually I wasn't thinking of making a professional looking card/graphic I was thinking more along the lines of, his closest friends, like the ones that would have actual pics of him, sending those to us and we make sort of a collage of happy times.

the funeral was at 11am earlier today. His family, club bball team, and closest friends were there
im sorry i did not notify you guys but i had a bball tourny in arizona so i had no computer at my disposal.
I just came back for the funeral and im leaving to go back up to Arizona then ill be gone for a month in Europe on vacation
so whatever your coming up with have it done by the time i get back
ill try to find some sort of computer tho when im in Europe and message u guys

im sry im getting to this late... when i was 14 my best friend who was only 16 died... and it tore me apart... i just droped to the floor and couldnt breath... i feel your pain... its said when someone dies so young... but I am sure you guys had lots of great memorys and thats what you need to hang on too... remember the good times and smile... cause im sure he would want you to be happy... no one wants these things to happen... but they do... i lost a lot of close friends growing up... but they changed my life so much im just thankful for having them in my life the time they were around... I hope you and his family make it through these hard times... and always remember their smile...

I am sorry for everyone's loses. I didn't know him but something like this shouldn't happen, it makes me wonder why people continue to drink and drive after hearing stories about this. I hope the man who did this is punished to the full extent of the law.

I am so sorry for your loss. It's just upsets me when someone so young is taken away like that. Probably he was an outstanding human being trying to live his live the best he could and was robbed by an inconsiderate person. Again. I'm sorry.
