Did anyone else catch the Premiere last night on NBC?

I dunno why, but this is the first show in a long long time that has grasped my attention enough that I acutally made a point to watch it. And I was impressed, overall.

What'd you think of it?

Yeah I saw it last night. I think it was pretty good. The begining bored me a little, But I know it will get better. I think the creater made Surface and I LOVE that show.

Ya. It should start to pick up pretty quickly, after the next episode or two. Most of the main characters have already been introduced, minus a few new ones that will appear soon. Even the villian has already made an appearance, and many questions have been risen.

In a way, it might have. It told of what the ultimate goal of the Heroes will be, but it could also be misleading, much like the flying brother.

I liked how the show is starting, I think it has potiential but still would like to see other episodes and see where it is going. It will be a nice addition to see it on sci-fi which will be the encore episode in case anyone misses it. So with Battlestar Galactica coming around the corner it will be a nice to see two good shows on friday.

the cheerleaders dad found out about her powers both the brothers can fly umm... the artist guy is dead there's a killer on the lose who like saw's there head open and takes out there brains named syler and now a cop who can hear peoples thoughts might be going to jail cuz he found a missing girl and they thing he did the murders umm...the japaness guy jumped like 8 days in the future when the explosion killed everything in newyork so he came back and now he has to stop it some how...umm the arab guy met some cute girl who new his dad umm...god alot happend

Alright... I missed the first half of the show last night because I was watching the most amazing game of the NFL season, I forgot it was airing tonight, and I was half dead from the New York trip.

Anyone care to update me on what happened during the first half of the show?

I've heard a lot about this show, I'll have to check it out, but a friend told me about it... so here's my best to update you, r33hash.

There was some chick that had a spike in her head, and she was laying on an autopsy table all cut up. So she was dead and her eyes were white and then the doctor pulled out the spike and went away for a second and BAM! Her eyes regained colour and her head wound healed up then she looked down and was like, OMGWTF, so she pushed her skin together (where it was seperated from the autopsy) and it healed.

I don't know how relevant that is to the story, but I'm pretty sure that was at the start, not completely sure...

I also heard there's this guy that can like paint the future or something? Crazy!

This is a great show. Puts too much into fantasy lovers minds with the flying and stuff.

I think they are going to erase the cops mind back to before he discovered his talent. Not sure what else they could do apart from kill him.

I watched an episode on Wednesday night and at the end it had a guy who was riding in the subway and then suddenly time stopped and a guy from the future (wielding a sword on his back) appeared.

I didn't really know what was going on, but it was exciting.

Ya. He's seen the future, and apparently New York is going to experience a nucleur explosion in five weeks. That's why Hiro has come to New York. He is going to try and save the city.

All of the characters have started meeting each other, and are getting closer and closer together as a whole. Tonight is a new episode.

hmm.. I don't know how to express how much I love this show. i think its turning into an obsession >.< It sucks though cuz I can't watch it on Mondays since I have school until 9:30 pm. BUT I download it on Tuesday and I think that might be better anyways since their are no commercials :p

I watched last night's episode while I was running back and forth finishing up some homework... I ended where what's his face met up with the painter and he started tripping out and continued the painting.

What happened after that?

He finished the painting, and Hiro called Issac again, and this time Peter answered, and of course he knew Hiro from that time on the subway and the episode ended with Peter saying to Hiro "I have a message for you". :)

I just watched all 5 episodes in a row.. I love this show. Spoilers ensue in this post, if you haven't yet watched the episodes in the series.

I have a lot of interesting theories.. Save the cheerleader, Save the World.. Sylar is basically the person who looks to be the big bad guy, the guy who is going to end the world, correct..? Claire is practically invincible (another thing I'll bring up in a second). In my mind, Sylars biggest threat would be somebody who's invincible. However, something to keep in mind, is that everybody thinks Jackie is the one who saved the guy from the train wreck. Maybe, in the picture that Peter finished, Jackie is the cheerleader that's been murdered? As far as Sylar would know, Jackie's the invincible cheerleader, right..? Something to keep in mind, at least, as the story progresses.

As for Claire being invincible.. She wasn't invincible when she had a branch stuck in her brain. When it was pulled out, she was able to recover. Also keep in mind that Sylar's murder tactic is scalping his enemies and scooping out their brains, by the looks of it. This could be because this is how he gains his powers, but its also a sign of Claires' one weakness. Not only would killing Claire, kill the only immortal person to stop him, but it would also make him immortal.

Something odd I also noticed was that Japanese Comic Monster. Not only was it seen on the monitor at the Japanese Cubicle Workplace, it was seen on the comic book stand, and it was also one of Iisac's non-heroine-enduced pictures "on the wall next to the door" (the ones that Samoan was supposed to sell). In that picture of the big shadow standing over the cheerleader on the stairs, it doesn't look like a human to me, it looks like a big monster looking thing. Was Iisac the artist of that comic, also, or is Nokarot over-seeing things?

Yeah he's the artist of the comic... that's why Hiro kept calling him. Interesting theory about Claire. I really want to know who "Sylar" is too... but I think we can safely say, that he's not going to kill Claire, because where would that leave the show? I'm assuming all of them are going to meet up and save the world together... then the rest of the show will be about them all chasing the "bad guy" Sylar.

Sylar can be a number of people who have already appeared. Sylar could be the black man that is always at the father's beckoning call, or he could be Claire's husband, who seems to have the same M.O. as Sylar.

Part of the reason why I don't think Sylar is the guy with Clarie's Dad is... why would he be taking orders from someone if he was so powerful? I could be wrong though... I can't wait to see the new episode tonight! :D

r33hash, I think you mean Nikki's husband (DL), which isn't the case. Theres a graphic novel online published by the makers of the show.. I suggest you all read it, because it gives some further information on the characters.

Claires' Dad's Brainwashing Hitman isn't Sylar, either.. Sylar's his own character.

Sylar steals powers from the people he kills [I think] and it's possible that he could be a character already shown. See this is a reason why I love Heroes so much, it involves so much thinking and so many possibilities.. my imagination is happy with this show :p haha.

But yeah.. new episode tonight, although I will be in stupid American Government class (AMgov isn't stupid, just the teacher) and I won't be able to DL Heroes until tomorrow or so /cries. So yeah, I'll avoid this topic until I watch it :p

You'll realize this if you go back to when she was "working" on camera, she didn't have that S logo on her back.. but when she was seducing Nathan, she did.. which is why GoodNiki didn't remember sleeping with him, or remember tearing people in half, because her alter-ego, BadNiki, did it.

Which also leads me to believe that when Iisac finished his picture in the end of the 6th episode, smearing the S symbol in to Niki's back, that the future fortells that her evil side takes over for good.

The show just keeps getting better! All these twists in the plot keep you wondering. It's been a while since a show like this has aired (and it's just what NBC needed to save them lol).

Can't Mika do that too? Well we don't know the extent of his powers, but we know he controls electronics (he made that ATM spit out a whole bunch of money just by touching it).

So far the character I like the least is Niki/Jessica. I think it's more of a multiple personalities/ghost taking over a body then a power. I think she'd be better off on a show like Ghost Whisperer.

The best character by far is Hiro, and the best power to have would be Peter's since it's basically the power to have all powers. And the multiple personalities is more plausible than you might think. If Nikki was a witness to what happened to Jessica, then the trauma could have caused her to create the second personality, and then locked away all those horrible memories in her subconscious. Her second personality still has access to those memories though, and since she's "Jessica" she remembers it as if it happened to her. It's true! I saw it on TV once.

Watching this show is almost like watching a good anime.

I don't think Peter's brother (I forget his name) is working for "The Company." Although that could be another twist we haven't seen yet. I think he's just running for Mayor and being a "freak" and/or having a "freak" brother could be bad publicity, which could cost him the election.

The one thing I worry about this show is I don't think they'll be able to keep this level of suspense up for 3-4 more seasons. It's that suspense that keeps people coming back, so what's to happen to the show once they can't keep that suspense up anymore?

I was a little disappointed, or I guess expected there to be just more in general with it being the last episode of the season... they didn't leave a huge cliff-hanger, ya know? I think the season finale could've been a little better. Don't get me wrong, I looove the show, though.

I think this show got worse as it went on. It lost focus and threw too much at you to try and trick you with weak sub-plots that went no where. They should've left the ending a surprise with who would blow up NY. It was way too predictable because you knew it was Peter since like halfway through, but they poorly tried to make it seem as if Sylar was responsible.

There are too many flat characters who don't add much to the series other than fill time. I thought this show was way better near the beginning especially when you didn't know why NY was going to blow up (but you found out way too soon) and I liked when you didn't know who the mysterious killer was (sylar) because he had a hat and kept to the shadows. I think sylar is a pretty weak ass character which was made worse when you found out he had a slight conscience and he didn't want to blow up NY. WTF. He's supposed to be a ruthless killer and he was more threatening when you didn't know who he was.

The show had a good idea but I thought it was poorly executed and wasn't planned out at all. I also hate how I get the feeling like they treat the audience like idiots by using way too much exposition and red herrings that went absolutely no where. The ending was anti-climatic as well (I really thought they were going to go deep into why all of the heroes' destinies intertwined) but in reality only the core characters really mattered.

I don't think I'll be watching this next year it got too boring mid-season and I don't want to be pulled around like that to be rewarded with something that you knew was going to happen anyway (and the show basically told you anyway.

WTF. He's supposed to be a ruthless killer and he was more threatening when you didn't know who he was.

He doesn't want to blow up NY because there are a lot of innocent people. He wants to kill the people with powers because he believes they aren't worthy of having them.

He's not a ruthless killer, just a power hungry SOB.

The "subplots" were to have the viewer delve a little deeper into a characters world to understand their personality.

It was known in the middle of the season that Peter was going to blow up the city, but it was later found out that there's a possibility Sylar was the one (all he had to do was kill Peter and come into contact with Ted, or Kill Ted. It was impossible to know with 100% certainty which was the true cause until the end. Anything that made you "know" it was Peter was pure speculation. There were just as many clues pointing to one as there were the other.

The only really flat character was Jessica/Niki. I really don't like Ali Larter though. She's a poor actress IMO. I didn't really like the girlfriend (that woman that both Isaac and Peter liked).

The main subplot that I disliked and was talking about was when Sylar and Mo were going around and Sylar was killing everyone. It just made it seem as if it was filling time and wasn't getting anywhere with the "Save the cheerleader, save the world" bit. It felt as if that whole plot fell through in the middle and was forgotten about.

I don't know it didn't make sense to me that sylar could get up close and personal with people, chop off the top of their heads and be fine with it yet not be cool with killing innocent people that he wouldn't even know. I thought the Sylar being the bomb was tacked on since the show seemed to focus so much on Peter knowing that he was the bomb. It actually would've been kind of cool to have Sylar be the bomb (yet the audience is dead set that it's Peter) to then have Nathan sacrifice himself in the same fashion. That would've been a better ending IMO rather than have this ridiculous cliff hanger with Sylar yet again alive. There's a time when it just needs to stop.

He said that himself. When they thought he was going to blow up NY, he said he didn't want to because he didn't want to hurt innocent people. All he wants is the powers because the others don't deserve them.

He killed the cheerleader because he thought she was Claire. At that time we didn't see much of him, so we don't know for sure that he had no remorse. Even if he didn't it doesn't mean he's out to kill innocent people just for sport. He wants to keep himself out of the headlines because that makes it easier for him to get at the people with powers. Killing masses of people will draw unwanted attention to him, and there's nothing to gain from killing someone that doesn't have powers.

We don't know why he killed Ando. For all we know he killed Ando because Ando attacked him (as he tried to do near the end) or maybe Ando tried to stop him from getting to Hiro.

Sylar is a villan, but he's not on a murderous rampage taking innocent lives. He only goes after Heros and takes out the people that try to get in his way.

This all might have changed though since his mother died. We'll have to see in the second season.

No, but that doesn't mean he WANTS to kill innocent people. Which is why he didn't want to blow up NY. He didn't kill Mohinder and he had plenty of chances to. Mo even got in his way more than once, but he always just uses his telekinesis to throw him out of the way.

I'll admit though that I'm kinda disappointed there wasn't more of a fight scene between Sylar and Peter. It would have been cool to see each of them using all the powers they've accumulated against each other. Peter would have more of an advantage though since he'd also have access to all of Sylars library of powers.

Yeah I know the first season started off slow... but that's not really what I don't like about this season. I don't know... it just seems like they are trying add way to many "heroes". I'm not saying that I don't like the new season, because I do. It just doesn't seem to have the same "spark" as the first season. ;)

The next 5 episodes are going to be FREAKING AWESOME!!! and im going to miss mondays episode, sadly Prison Break is 2 hours long, and PB is on my top priority.

awwww, that sucks. u should of went anyway. people started lining up for the panel like 2am. i got there to line up like around 7am and there was already tons and tons in line. the panel didnt even start till 1030am! haha!! what made the fans hella crazy was when Tim Kring came out he had a suitcase handcuffed to his arm, and revealed to the fans that he had with him not just clips, but the entire 1st episode for season 3.

but it was a good panel right after heroes was the LOST panel. that was sweeet also. i'll be honest the Heroes Q&A's were really dumb, people asked really dumb questions which kinda pissed me off >_< plus it was cut pretty short cause the cast all got there pretty late. all i can say about the season 3 premiere is that u will not be disappointed guys :mvdj:

I am disappointed with the season, hopefully firing Mr. Loeb and the other producer works for the betterment of the show.

They start off saying we gotta stop this or that and then something new becomes the big issue. And now Sylar just decides I hate heroes and Elle went from a good girl I love you to, don't follow the rules?

I got so confused with the characters. There's no continuity with their actions it's liek the writers are using them as playdolls without any explanation.

Also, for those of you that watched season 2, ever wondered why Peter got over Catalin being lost in the future? Yeah, Tim Kring said that's in the past their not going to dig that up. So what happened Peter forgot?

In my book, no season shines like the first season did; everything they did during that season was magic.

I really did like this latest season, but I will be very angry if Sylar doesn't stay good; he's gone wishy-washy far too many times throughout this show, and it's time for them to make a decision. He would make an excellent hero, and would give a whole new spin to the show which I think they should capitalize on!
