Okay, so.. I'm a really big fan of the book.. literally. Even though I'm not the type of person that compares the actual story vs. the game, I'm pretty stoked to see how it incorporates the layers/levels/circles of hell.

Is there anyone else out there that look forward to this game as much as I do? Yes, I know it's been out already, just a few days. (: It's always nice to just here other people's opinion and views. So..

Let's have them!

I've been waiting for this game for close to a year now. I am also fan of The Divine Comedy, but I'm prepared for this game to have loose ties to the real story. I don't have the money to buy it right now, but once I do, I will definitely be picking this game up!

me too me too! what a brilliant idea to make a game out of The Divine Comedy!
i played the demo, and was in love! it's very God of War-ish, which i am excited about because i love the God of War series, but haven't been able to play the newer ones. i'm an i'm an xbox girl, and it's not available for it. :(
it was a toss up between Bioshock and Dante's Inferno on the release day, and i just had to go for Bioshock - i'm a big fan - but i can't wait to get it!

Omg yes i downloaded the demo and it is really entertaining imo. Thinking about getting the game soon, along with Bioshock 2.

Hrmm.... didn't know it was a book. Well, that's interesting. Though, the demo didn't seem to entertain me very much; I had more fun playing the GoW3 demo for some reason.

It's really a very popular book, a classic... I still haven't read it but I'd really like to do so! However, the game doesn't strike me as being based on it in more than name and a couple of references... gameplay wise, the demo at least struck me as a significantly less polished version of God of War. It may be the best we Xbox users can hope for right now (though, I'd rather throw money down on Bayonetta; that game is amazing) since GoW is Sony-exclusive!

That's true.. Thankfully, I own both ps3 and 360, so if I were to get into this kind of genre, I guess I'd get GoW3. But, I don't know; I haven't really played these kind of games since Devil May Cry 2.

Dante's Inferno is one of three Epic Poems in The Divine Comedy. It basically wrote out the image of Hell that we all think of today. The other poems are Pardiso (Heaven) and Purigtorio (Purgatory). It is truly a great read.

I hadn't played any games like this for sometime, well just so happened my 13 year old nephew brought it over and I'm not gonna lie, I had to go buy it, the graphics, the story, the game play are all leaps and bounds above par, my advice to anyone who liked God of War series games is to definitley go out and buy this game. Simply put it IS Incredible.
