I'm so glad CSS isn't my "game" that update sounds so lame.

i'm reading up on it. it sounds like there will be an option to disable this new pricing scheme. it'll be interesting to see the effect on prices, especially on popular weapons like the ak and awp. i hope there's a cap on how high/low a weapon's price can get so that the prices don't get too ridiculous over time.

I think it would be kind of OK if it was optional per server, but I still think it sounds dumb.

If you can't disable it then it'll be retarded. I dont want the price of my guns to be based on what 9999999999999999 pubbers buy, let alone based on what people buy period.

If you ask me, the implementation of this and the new radar (which shows where your opponents are under certain circumstances) makes source a complete joke. At one point I thought "to each their own, both games are fine".. but now, I'm kinda joining the anti-source bandwagon. Even if you can disable it, its still a joke that valve has decided to ruin their game.

Not to mention the radar is HUGE and very distracting... =/ gr to CSS :( The graphics are all it has now... But the radar and the gun thing will deprieciate it's value for me a lot.. =/

Remember that thats true for every player, so no one player gains an unfair advantage, they could all look at their radar, im not seeing the joke. I never liked the fact that they did it either, but id never pretend it somehow made it unfair.

and next, if anyones wondering, turn off dynamic pricing serverside with "mp_dynamicpricing 0" in your server.cfg file

more thoughts on dynamic pricing... the pricing on the weapons that are not bought as often is small (about 30-100) whereas when a weapon is used a lot it is drastic (500-1000+) my deagle costs me 2000+ thankfully match servers have it off, and if i play in a pub, ehh who cares lol.
