Anyone going to digitallife in NYC? It's October 12th - 15th at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. I didn't go last year, but I know a clan that competed last year. They said it was a really great experience.

I'm attempting to be. I'll be in Seattle between Oct 2nd-10th at Microsoft Game Studios. Hopefully Microsoft will fly me to NYC. :)
We will need to start organizing how hotel things will work for this event. Its a bit of a drive for me, but I believe the Rip will be making an appearance ;-)

That's awesome! And hey, Rip - PA isn't that far from NY. It's probably about a 3 hour drive depending how far in you are, but definitely a 4 to 5 hour drive at most.
What is requirred to go? I hear someone is getting hitched O.o So EDX will be there.
Normally its like a real easy 2 hour bus ride of something, but I'll be at college - and thats 6 hours driving, or 11 hours by public transportation.

Ok, this may be a dangerous attempt, but I’d like to try to plan out what’s going on.
I’ve already requested the days off for the event I’ll be in NYC Oct. 12-19.
I’m ready to buy my ticket, does PMSclan have a “Source” code we can use when we purchase it? If not no biggie cuz Tickets are only 12 bucks :)
And the final most difficult thing to figurer out…. What hotel are we all going to try to book in? So that I might go ahead and book it now.
People that will be going thus far for sure, and crashing in my room would be:

im going i live about 20 minutes from the center by train, if any of the h2o's are going for sure we might be i'll be willing to split a hotel room if needed

I can't give you a 100% garentee that I'll be going, but I'll try my best. Its only 4 hours away, so travel costs from DC aren't going to be very much.. and if tickets are $12, then thats even less then I expected.
With a month and a half's notice, it should be fairly easy for me to get that money. But, without a garentee, you dont have to put me in your hotel room. Though I'll sleep on the ground anywhere, so I hope I can get in even if you guys fill up the room.

DC? Crazy, I live in Woodbridge, VA... not even 15 minutes south of DC. Im driving, I would bring you but I dont think Ill have any more room. Ill keep you posted.
Check - I will be going. However, the convention starts on the 12th, so for people flying in, there's a good chance you might want to look at the 11th as well. I will be driving for a good distance so the 11th might be a part of the chunk of days.
Either way, we should start planning on the very soon side. If there are any connections PMS will be having at the event, can we try to see where they are going so we can get the same hotel if possible? (If not and the girls are just booking their hotel individually, lets work with them to find one location). Solis, give me a yell on IM or my cell. We'll probably need to get some meetings organized in vent as well.

I live on Bolling AFB, bordering the south eastern portion of the Potomac.. About 30 minutes from Woodbridge, I believe.
Keep me posted if you will. Either via the contact information in my profile, or I'm usually idling in the #pmsclan on IRC. If you cant, no worries.. as I said, shouuld be fairly inexpensive Greyhound'ing there or something.

Hope? no no no, you best make plans now because its gonna happen, no wishy washy, we're collecting the PC people and dragging them to digital life, since its probably best to avoid the dragging part showing up is probably preferable ;-)
