Hey everyone. We're having our second smash bros. tournament soon (I posted here about the first one a few months ago). Last tournament had a great turnout (about 60 people). Some people from here came by and had a great time, so I thought we'd post here again about our next tourney.
This time, it'll take place at a clubhouse in the city of Walnut, on October 21.
The rules are pretty much the same to our last tournament, but if you're new, you can find the details on our Rules page (click here).
It was a tight situation when it came down to deciding the entry fees for this tournament due to the small cash pot we had for doubles in the first SSR, but this time we have a lot up our sleeves to surprise you with. So the entry fees narrowed down to:
Singles - $15
Doubles - $15
So you pretty much pay a flat rate of $30 for both.
ALSO, we might be putting in Crew Battles, so stay tuned for those details!
Another thing we threw in is for each event (singles or doubles) you register for, you will receive a raffle ticket from us. So, if you sign up for just singles or just doubles, you get one ticket. Sign up for both, you get two tickets. Just wanted to clear that up . But, anyway, the raffle will be done at the end of the day for a $50 gift card to Game Crazy. However, 1st and 2nd place finishers are not qualified for the raffle, because they've already won their share and we would like to give the other participants a chance to win something also.
In addition to registering for an event, you also get a ticket for every piece of merchandise to purchase.

After the tournament, we will discuss with you on how you would like to receive your prize(s).

Doubles Winners
The Doubles event will have put split for the prize.
We will take 30% of the Doubles entry fee and we will split the rest (70%) among 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
1st : 60% /// 2nd : 30% /// 3rd : 10%
* Crew Battles will be discussed when the event is decided upon. *
We are also announcing our new $1.00 concession stand. EVERYTHING (food) will cost... well, a dollar, lol. What we'll will be selling will include but not limited to:
- Water
- Soda
- Chips
- Cookies
- Candy
- (possibly) Pizza!
and... that's it!
We'll update as soon as we can on any changes. Until then, keep checking out the site!
Also, we'll be "re-vamping" the site, so don't be surprised that things will be disappearing and reappearing!
Hope you're excited as Wii are. Time to bust out those controllers and start practicing!
