I wouldn't worry about MAG too much man it's not me and your type of game lol. While it was fun for a little while it's all just the same crap as Call of Duty.

GoW 3 should be considered first instead of MAG. i mean Kratos alone can take on 250 players (or whatever the big gimmick is for mag). i say dont even rent it just keep saving for that God of War 3... its demo is in the District 9 Blue-Ray (though the rental versions for the most part dont include it but the movie is worth the buy)

A demo of GoW3 also comes in the God of War: Collection. The Demo is great. Cant wait for the actual game.

Its a good series of games. I also like dynasty warriors. Maybe its something you should look into. God of War: Collection is only $40 dollars. Full trophy support as well :D

whoa this thing took a turn for the worst... GoW is nothing like DW... DW is signle button mash with dated tech even for their next gen releases, cheesy music that doesnt even match, and done to death gameplay. if anything God of War is more Devil may cry or more recently Bayonetta (even though GoW came first.)

GoW has outdated graphics but they got an excuse because it came out on the ps2 days and the finale is coming out on the PS3 and looks 20x better than any DW ever would. also GoW gameplay is far superior since you use more moves, different weapons (though i always stick to the blades of chaos/athena), far better magic and your enemies actually attack you. also come on the time era is better... greek mythology where mortals challenge gods vs a bunch of feuding tribes with runway hairstyles.

yeah god of war is 100 times better than dynasty warriors. its an action adventure where dW is a button masher.

outdated graphics? whoawhoawhoa i disagree with that one, god of war 1 has better graphics than a lot of 360 games and thats a ps2 game. dmc and gow are 2 of the best action adventure games.

as far as MAG, you basically have to put it in this perspective: do you like call of duty? do you like battlefield? would you like those games with 256 players on one giant map? then this is the game for you. if not, then no don't buy it, however its worth a rent just to say "yeah i played it and it was fun, but its just not my cup of tea"

yeah certain aspects of it are lacking... but thats the case with 99% of games out there. but for having 256 players, no lag to speak of, and gameplay that personally im enjoying much more than MW2 you really cant complain too much.

Hmm... I wonder if mag is supposed to be good? I never tried the beta, but by the sound of it, it didn't seem very appealing. I'll have to see when the game comes out.

As for the GoW vs DW comparison, definitely way different between the two. I'd say the closest to GoW would probably be Heavenly Sword, but even that is based off of it, except not as violent. Cutscenes were nice; had really nice facial animation.

So, we've been talking about mag, and some of us were a bit iffy whether it would be good or not. I found a walkthrough video review from Giantbomb site. If you've never heard of the site, it's a decent video game site; and the guys are pretty humble, unlike the gametrailer.com site. Also, they're pretty funny at times ^^
