Where are those I know?
What happened to the green of the grass?
Has winter come and taken it all away?
Green grasses to ashes
life to dust
Clay turned to mud
Desolation in the soul
desolation in the cold
now your gray and old
and everything is gone
Why do I no longer care?
Why do they no longer matter?
Perhaps it is because they are worthless
but even that doesn't matter
desolation in the soul
desolation in the cold
is there anything left to hold?
or has it slept from my grasp again?
and now, back from the grave
I find my life unable to be saved
desolation in my heart
and nothing else matters.
