New H3 recruits excitement thread!

Hello lovely ladies. As some of you may know, I've just put in my application for the H3 division yesterday, and am all set for my first interview/ practice on Monday. I am so stoked! :mvboogie:

Having that said, I know there are other recruits who are just starting as well, and I want to spread the love and share the excitement. I'm sure we're all both excited and nervous at the same time, and having a thread to discuss and express all of our feelings regarding the subject will help ease the anticipation. Additionally, it helps us to meet each other early on, and that's always nice.

Having that said, feel free to post and discuss. I am very eager and look forward to practicing with everyone. In the meantime, I'm practicing ahead of time before practice, if that makes sense. :p I need to get my game back, it's been a couple months since I've played H3 last. If any of the new recruits want to get some pre practice in with me, just add me (my GT is Melonieac, as shown above), and let me know who you are. That way we can get acquainted ahead of time, and that will probably help with the shyness and a little bit of nervousness we will feel during our first interview/ practice

lol i was the same way. i just finished recruitment last week. i was an 8 week recruit and man i couldn't wait to be official. but it takes time just be patient and it will come soon enough.

He's a Division Member, and yeah, some members can get nervous about running their first practice, but it's all good :)

I also was nervous going to my recruitment interview and I finished at the same time as Jedi. I also was an 8 week recruit but the feeling I had on that Monday still feels like new. Can't wait to see u in practice!!

Yes we do get nervous at times. For example I am a dual with Gears and MW2! I am also the captain of Team Epsilon for MW2, when we do scrims I get scared. We end up lossing/winning so after my nervousness is gone.

I miss running practices with my ladies. Who knows? I might pick up some time in the summer and when I get my schedule worked out. Finding a job right now is my top priority, but getting my hours in won't be a problem.

I've been practicing as much as possible over the past few days. I've only had Halo 3 since September, so I've got a lot to learn! Thankfully these practices sound very detailed, I'm confident I will learn a lot from them. :) I already played a little bit with some H2O members, and they were extremely helpful. I am very excited about this and look forward to learning more and improving.

Glad to hear that the practices are going well. I haven't been around in a year, but I went from getting 0 kills and dying all the time in matches to 21+ kills in less than four months with the girls here. You really can learn a lot from them, and it's so much fun to play with them. Then I became a practice captain for a few months before my gold ran out and I took an extended LOA.

I've missed them lots.

Wow, that is very encouraging! I love how the PMS clan will take people with potential and train them up to be really good, rather than only accepting people who are already good. Just another example of how awesome this clan is. :mvboogie:

I actually have proof of that improvement. I used to game it up on location with Dark Ivory all the time! I miss being around her too!

That and Ruin's my big sis, so we used to game it up as well.

Another success story - I used to suck at snipers. Now I go for Sniper/BR every time I'm in a match.

I'm probably rusty now though - it's been a while since I've played. I'll more than likely be in a practice tonight though.

Hey Big Sis! I will make it to a practice eventually...every time I decide I want to go active again, something happens like the in-laws visiting or getting a new job or the internet going down or car issues etc. etc! Ironically, I hopped on H3 for a few matches a few weeks ago and I did better than when I quit 6 months ago. I guess a break can do wonders!

I had family visit most of this week, so I was only able to fit in two practices. I'm going to attend as many practices today as possible to make up for it. :p

I should have all 8 hours tonight, but duing Ovary's practice on Wednesday, I lagged out and missed the first game, so if I don't get counted some of that time, I'll just have to make up for it next week. Which won't be a problem. No family visiting then, whew!

They joined the Air Guard, so part time Air Force, really. After they finish college they're going to go full time Air Guard, but they still have to go to bootcamp for 2 1/2 months, and then after a couple months at home, away to tech school. I've never been away from them for more than a couple of days, so it's going to be hard for me. I'm glad I'll have my PMS girls to keep me company, I don't know how I would handle it otherwise!

Getting lonely with the siblings gone. Shoot, when my bro and sis are out of the house for more than 4 hours I get lonely.
I know what you mean about being away from family for an extended period of time. I remember when I first moved out of the house of 5 people to a house by myself (and out of the state!) I was so depressed. But 6 weeks later my brother and sister moved in with me. And then I was happy again.
2 1/2 months will probably go by faster than you think, if you keep yourself busy :mvwave: 6 weeks sounds long but it did go by faster than I thought. At least you can raid your brother's rooms while they're gone or something.

Don't doubt yourself, ever. Everyone learns at a different level and from what I have seen so far, you have made amazing improvements. Just think that you are amazing and play for fun and then everything will fall into place really.

I've only been playing H3 for like 8 or 9 months maybe. I know I'm decent but not as good as I should be. When I try harder, I always fail. I still think I suck, lol. I learned that when I'm having fun and just playing for kicks, I do a lot better than when I'm actually trying.

And we still need to find a time for you and I to play together! I haven't been around much the last 2 weeks due to personal stuff, but I'm here now :)

I have to agree with Barbie, Melonie. When we were doing 2v2v2 in my practice last night, we came in second, but girl! You were double digits! You've been doing awesome, and if you keep up your motivation, then you're going to be a beast!

Because we have so many members, our practice managers update all the hours by Tuesday evening for last week, then I get the info for everything on Wednesday.. You usually have a "weird" in between week... no worries! :)
