One of my favorite things with this game, how they brought the gameplay to a cinematic level, the way the camera works with your actions, it makes playing the game more like watching a movie, in a really frickin awesome way. And yes that is a brutal headshot :p

This game will bring PRO gaming to the next level CAL and MLG announced awhile ago they will include this to their game roster, Halo 2 brought it to where it is today, GoW will push it further(TV deals/more sponsored teams).

This game will be friggin huge.

yeah it has potential to be fun agreed.

and i deffinatly agree with the second statement, it is completely different than any game that has been in competition's. it's even more sit back and hide than the ghost recon series. most competitive games (halo, halo2, ghost recon, counter strike, unreal, stuff like that), if you notice, are more run and gun, get over quick, but in an insane way, so it's exhilarating and heart pounding. not just sit back and wait and pop out every 5 seconds and pop back in, it'll get boring fast, and competition's won't be very fun if this game is represented in them.

that's just my observation though.

Gears Of War defines next gen and will set the standard for next gen games, what we have seen now to be honest is a disgrace compared to what developers can really do when they put some extra effort into their games.

Lets compare some of the disgraceful 360 games shalst we?

Dynasty Warriors
Hitman
Tomb Raider
Samurai Warriors 2
X-Men
Gun
Ridge Racer

And many more.

These games are charged at premium prices where their visuals are only a bit better from their Xbox and PS2 counterparts being ports if you will.

Ok they might be enjoyable and ok that people only play them for the acheivemant points but when you look at what developers can really do you have to agree that those games just in that list alone are a total disgrace.

At present we are seeing nicer visuals thats about it, no great AI not awesome stunning environments apart from Kameo and maybe Oblivion oh and Enchanted Arms of course yet these are best viewed in HD to really benefit.

But a game like Gears Of War? Well surely once you have witnessed the marvel of what the 360 is really capable of who is going to go and buy a game that looks like the ones listed?

Each to their own and these are my opinions.

but i disagree with gears of war "setting the standard for next gen." after a year of being in the market, you can't honestly believe that this is all that can be seen, but then maybe it is, which would just kill the 360.

but GeOW does look good, i just think that it won't be any fun, just good to look at. but anyways, go GeOW for best graphics 360 has to offer!


plus most of ps3's launch titles look better than GeOW ;)

PGR3 does not look like crap if you have an HDTV. The game in standard definition is a different story of course.

Anyways, I don't believe he meant that no other 360 game will ever look as good as GoW.

Even Halo 2 looks better on a 360 if you have a High Definition TV. But on the other hand it looks like crap on a different tv thats not High Definition.

On the soul note, it doesn't really own my soul. I sold that to Vinx for a bag of cheetos. He got ripped off.
