This. Though Aang looks like he is 8 and not 12. Not to mention the other actors look nothing like the characters. Plus Zuko's scar is on the wrong side! Still excited to see it though. Cannot wait til Summer 2010.

i saw in regular definition theater. Pretty good movie, predictable, but still enjoyable. Good enough that im making a 2 hour journey to the nearest imax theater to see it in 3d imax...its gonna be soooo awesome!

I have seen it twice. imax and digital 3d. I will go at least one more time, it has become one of my all time favorites. I have had the pleasure of witnessing how far movies have come. Truly incredible cgi. There is actually another thread about it....

I saw it in 2d. I want to see it 3d now. I have to travel to an Imax theater which is a little drive from my house but it's worth it. People are saying it looks so much better when the battle scenes happen in 3d. Also people, Avatar is a must see movie. It's not worth a wait on dvd type of thing. It's a James Cameron movie. You never wait for a masterpiece to go on dvd like the trash crap that comes out these days now. Avatar, go see it. Now. I said now. Like right now. Stop reading my post and go see it.

its by far my favorite movie of all time at the moment. saw it in normal 3d first, then in the IMAX, IMAX makes it a COMPLETELY different movie. the 3d is SO much better and the explosions rock you to the core. if you have not seen this movie i dont know what the hell your doing but you need to get on it. movie of the decade.

My thoughts on it are pretty much on par with Movie Bob's (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/escape-to-the-movies/1333-Avatar). It's got its plot issues and its message is pretty simple, but it's very well crafted and acted, and you get the sense that the folks behind it really mean what they're trying to convey.

I saw it in IMAX 3D a day after it was released in theaters. While the story wasn't anything new (intergalactic Pocahontas much?) the visual effects were just amazing. I wonder how many Oscars they will get for all of the technical achievements...

I saw it in 3D and it was still a GREAT movie even tho 3D technology doesnt always work for me with movies. I'd recommend it to anyone

I was verry skeptical about this movie. Then I went to see it in 3D. The colors alone in the movie were crazy. Had a decent story line. Let alone the 3D. I would watch it again.

I've seen it with my wife and friends... (unfortunately the non 3d version but still pretty).
I absolutely loved it. Great story, action effects and colors.

Just the right type of inspiring movie for a GFXGuy like me :D

i have not but i did see the trailer. i was given good feedback from friends but honestly it doesnt look like my kind of movie. i dont really like action movies or predictable love story lines. i do like inspirational dramas like big fish and forest gump, i do like independent movies,horrors and of course comedies but i never got into action and C.G.i.
