I'm taking US History this year, as a junior, and realized something. The PMS clan acts as a government. Think about it. We have leaders, some appointed and others not, and we have members who must pass a certain criteria to be admitted. There are certain guidelines which need to be followed and consequences for everything. Meetings are held to discuss and decide upon issues or people. I don't know the exact type of government this clan would be placed under, but in my opinion the clan can be seen as a government.
^ remember: it's just my opinion and it's just something to think about and possibly discuss :)

Every Clan must have some kind of government base to survive. 100% of Clans that do not realize this fail to stay alive. I notice this problem a lot on Live and in my favoite PC game, MechWarrior 4: Mercenares. My Clan in MW4 runs a fully planned governement base on the Classic BattleTech books that the MW games follow. PMS and H20 are very well planned and will survive a long period of time.

Just like the clan I used to be in on Xbox Live called the Zombies Evolved, they have fallen because the leader {who is not me} failed to control the the 100+ members it had. He had too much responcibilities.

everythings a goverment. ur school is a goverment. there are teachers who enforce the rules, then the uppers who make the rules, then the school board who limits the power of the schools, just like how the national goverment limits the local goverment. and theres student council. ur house is like a goverment too, but its more like a dictatorship

btw clans are impossible to control becuz u cant enforce some1 to follow a rule. pms and h2o can barely do that either, cept most ppl in pms and h2o like the clan and dont wanna getkicked out

True, but most of the members of pms and h2o WANT to be in the clan(s). Thus, they follow the rules and expectations made by the leaders.

LoL.. It's a democracy! :) There are always votes, and decisions made and upheld. This clan is like a family more so I think, which is why we all respect each other and do want to represent ourselves well while gaming... it's not just ourselves we represent, it is everyone else that is part of this community!
w00tw00t for PMS and H2o!! i <3 you all! :D
It is not technically a recognizable government because we cannot enforce any sort of laws. However we're an organization with the ability to set exclusivity, and that is a power in its own right I suppose. And there's some form of hierarchical operation, true.

No. PMS is not a democracy. It's almost like England's monarchy in the 1800s. Our clan leader(s) inherit rights. The individual leaders are appointed by the top leaders of the clan. There are rules which are regulated. If someone breaks those rules, they are "tried" for their crime, and specific consequences follow...even resulting in "releasing" members who don't obey the rules. And sometimes it's a family, but girls have been known to betray each other. (not saying that I've personally experienced that) I'm gonna just stick to my comparison. :)

I look at it like a corporate structure, that has an open door policy.
It's also a heirarchy like the military :) We have a hybrid organization!
We stay within the rules because we all desire to derive the benefits of comraderie, structure, etc. and because it's generally the right thing to do!
I like the idea of giving everyone cool titles!! Just for fun......
Athena = Prez
Twin = VP
Souls = First Gentleman (he would be the first first gentleman by the way!!)
MJ = General
Who else can we add?
