While it's in re-run starting @ 8 pm (est) there's a doctor who marathon on.

I always try to catch all the new shows and re-runs of the better episodes and while not a huge tv watcher i'm a huge fan of sci-fi friday.....anyone else love this stuff.

Stargate sg1/atlantis,battlestar galactica and now doctor who from 8-11 on fridays.

Fun times.....1 of the few times i'm not gaming at all.

o my u watch sci-fi......hey i do to but u kno wat i cant wait for tho.....

BATTLESTAR GALATICA, STARGATE SGI AND ATLANTIS. wow, those shows are tight

and while we are on the subject of sci-fi, why are their movies so horrible. I mean in my personal experience, I don't think that they should make any more movies. Don't get me wrong, from time to time you will get some movies that are pretty tight. But overall sci-fi movies are not good.

wat ur input?

i think that today's moviemakers seem to be too fixated on spectacular special effects and don't focus on the true essentials . . . such as a good storyline w/GOOD actors!!!!!! they need to stop fixating on the extra and start bolstering the foundation!

I can't wait for Battlestar Galactica to come out in October. Luckly Stargate: SG-1 is coming in July.

lolz i mean even the graphics arent that good. but if i had to choose between the acting *-sticks out tongue-* or the graphics, I would choose graphics. the lesser of the two evils i guess.

But i really cant wait for BTG. Wat was the last episode about. I guess if i forgot then it must not be a big cliff hanger.

Even stargate atlantis cuz remember the last episode

*-WARNING SPOILER-*
*-WARNING SPOILER-*
*-WARNING SPOILER-*
*-WARNING SPOILER-*

This goes for all live action movies,in general,i've more faith that the latest cgi film(s)
(cars, over the hedge both rule) will be great while only some live action movies
will satisfy(enjoyed x-3,da vinchi code expect superman and pirates 2 to be really good) while most just bite.

I wholheardadly agree alot of movies give you a basic story while heaping :sfx, coriographed stunts/fights,explosions and a love intrust.....this is the formula of a ride film which you see for everything but a story or a james bond flick where it never gets too deep on the story.

Yes the sci-fi channel has made some questionable movies but especially with sci-fi
it's so easy to let the sfx run wild before you have a true story..imo that's why star wars ep 1 and 2 weren't all that they begun great, ended great but the middle of those films was a mess-you might as well chapter search to later than watch them as is.
Being so new i'd love to see a director's cut-or the movie lucas just didn't have time to do right as everything was on a timetable before.

For the most part if there was a live action flick and a pixar movie i'd expect more from pixar that live action movie of the week.

A great way to tell how good/bad a movie is by watching it performance in first run
theatres...if it's got 20+ showtimes and next week has 12 or less it proabably bites as it's already being preped for the 2nd run theatres.

Movies that remain in 1st run a month or longer are those that might be worth your time-if you enjoy the subject matter.
