I LOVE Windows Vista. I have had it for 2 and a half years now and it runs wonderfully. I really don't know why so many people hate it. lol But you might as well go with windows 7. :) It's brand spankin' new ;)

Windows 7 all the way, as a computer sales rep, I'm telling you from experience. Its uses less memory, and has more functionality than vista could ever offer. Dont waste your money on a vista computer, when you now have better options.

you cant go wrong with eather of them. ive had Vista since its release and i never had a problem with it. the only time i seen people having a problem with it is when they try to use old versions of something with the vista OS (example:running Dark Forces: Jedi Knight on vista is a noooo go since well its too damn old).
so if you dont use your comp for all kinds of ultra tricky stuff you should be good with vista. but if you got a choice of the 2... then just get 7 since its the new one... show it off to everyone and make those xp users wish they had it lol

Put it this way. With Windows Vista you need 10 times more RAM for everything. So if you must buy it then make sure you have some good specs lol.

this is a no brainer, windows 7 was created just for vista's failure to perform.
do the right thing.

Generally there is a no many difference in between windows 7 and windows vista. Windows 7 is a upgrade version for windows vista. In windows 7 you can get one useful status bar which is very n useful to user. In performance side both operating system are equal. So you can select any operating system as per your choice.

Windows 7 64-bit. Is the best, you can find good deals if you look around.

Win7 64bit is VERY sexy. i went from a Mac OSX to Win Vista to Win7 and sometimes it feels very much like my old Mac (RIP)

Win 7 is what Vista should have been, so it's a no-brainer. Win 7 FTW.

O_O...that was a long time ago...
When I participated in the Win7 beta, it worked all right, no big deal, but when they came out with the first "patch" update (Which wasn't really a patch update, it was just an empty service pack to check stability of the effect of updates on Win7), it started crapping out. That was back in March of 2009. Now, this past January, I bought a new desktop with Windows 7 64-bit and haven't had any problems since.

I use to use xp and swear by it, I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and I gotta say it is totally like xp but all the bugs are fixed with it, I have another pc that has vista on it and I won't even touch it...it runs slower in my opinion than Windows 7 does...go with 7
