Nintendo DS Lite

i was just wondering if you guys have seen it.. it's a pretty substantial difference from the normal DS. i have it and i LOVE it... if the little handhelds are what you are into, this is something worth looking at. the screen is MUCH brighter, ther size is lighter, and more compact. i absolutely LOVE this purchase

i went out to just get a DS the day before it came out. they told me to wait, cuz for 10$ more, it would be totally worth it. then they (EB games) told me that i couldn't even get one till thursday cuz all the preorders... PFFT... i went to walmart at midnite and got it. jon bought me a case, and a game. and im totally addicted to Nintendogs...:o

i got this on sunday the day it came out. with NSMB and i absolutely love it. same price as reg DS too. i recommend to anyone with a "fatty" DS (lol) to sell it and get the Lite. SOOOO much better.

I got mine on Sunday and gave my Electric Blue DS to my mom. I also bought her Brain Age and she's been playing Sudoku solid on it since :) I'm happy with the DS Lite, the brighter screen excellent! I can actually play the system a normal distance from my face :P

I picked mine up on sunday and have been addicted to Advance Wars: Dual Strike ever since.

I also have Castlevania, New Super Mario Bros. and that kirby game. I think I'm going to trade in the kirby for Mario and Luigi Super Star Saga or whatever its called.. the Kiby one is alright but not really my cup of tea.

So far, 2 thumbs up. I refused to purchase the original DS as it looked like a metalic wallet on crack.

I'm getting a PSP in two weeks. No games really tipped my interest until I played Monster Hunter on my friends PSP. Now I'm dying to get one. Plus the addition of a 4 gig memory stick will be nice when they come out. Movies on the go here I come!

Back to the DS... I cannot wait until Zelda comes out :D

The problem is that nintendo keeps re-releasing their stuff... The re-released the SP not too long ago with the awesome screen that the Lite has in it. So they are like... lets make a new ds with two of these screens! The Lite is nice... but I dont play any of my DS'es enough to upgrade.

yeah, but the lite is seriously a lot better.

much better designed. especially with the stylus slot, the charger, the Volume and Power button, and the buttons are even better. its just a better handheld than any ive ever had :D.

I'm opposite from you Cori, I couldn't play Metroid Prime for longer then 10 minutes before my hand would cramp up. With the DS Lite I'm able to relax it a little more then I could with my electric blue original DS :P Kind of like how I had to reach around with the original Xbox controller!

well i went to get one today...called made sure they had it. By the time i got to circuit city so i could get my free brain age with it..both sold out. Best buy said they would have them in the morning and i have 70 dollars in coupons for there soooooo. Off on another adventure i go!

I gotta look into that DS Lite. A brighter screen is just what I need since the sun's been out more. I need to point my DS just right in order to see anything at all on the screen and that can be a pain. I absolutely love the games for the DS, filled up my game collection faster than any other console I've had. That touch screen is so addicting.

The only bad thing about lite is the smaller gba slot where the cart now sticks out.

This is likely due to the bigger , better stylus cutting short the gba slot.

Other than this small quibble it's a night n day diffrence.

Ok so i got it. Paid 129 for DS Lite + Brain Age + 12 free rentals from game crazy and they also lemme walk out with a couple n64 games from the MVP chest. Went to best buy and used some reward zone coupons to get mario kart for free. Now everyone help me decide which game to get next. Yes, it will also be free from best buy *poke* If anyone wants to play mario kart with me i would love it!
