I heard this movie was scary, I doubt it but it interesting to go see. It was made documentary style, but it all scripted right?

It's a pretty good movie. I saw it a couple of years ago. It was shot documentary style all from the perspective of a night vision camera that the couple sets up in the house to document what happens at night. There are definitely scenes that make you think that it could be real, but it is a scripted movie.

No it doesn't. Most of it is stationary when the couple sets up the camera, but there are scenes where the characters takes the camera off the tripod and walk around the house. You shouldn't get motion sickness. lol

I'm watching it here in Orlando on Friday as well. Happy I was able to score tickets since it was shown earlier here and the tickets sold out really early.
The Blair Witch Project didn't make me as sick as some people. I really didn't think it was all that bad if you didn't watch it in a jumbo screen lol.

real 3D? that was not even close... the camera wasnt even centered half the time... (director should have changed his controller settings lol)... Toy Story double feature will have real 3D... like the commercial says... "youll see parts of ham youd wish you never saw"... or something among them lines lol ok everyone back to topic now.

No you can't rent it. When I saw it there was no distribution deal and it was touring on the festival circuit. It has now been picked up and getting the exposure it deserves. It probably wont be on dvd until next year.

"Paranormal Activity" was AWESOME, some people were leaving the theater cause they were scared, and a few girls were crying at the end!
I loved it.. OMG and the end was pure awesome!!
I can't wait to watch it on my own room on blu-ray when it comes out, although I'll probably have to wait a year, but believe me, it's worth the wait, and it was well worth my 15 dollars.. HELL, half the movie is worth 15, the other half is extra and should be worth another 15, I'm really happy... I thought we were actually going to talk about paranormal activity! I totally got excited for a minute!...
I used to manage a ghost team in florida, Rob Demarest was recruited off my team for GHI! It was awesome, but completely life consuming!
so.. uh if we ever want to start a thread about that I am an open book if you guys ever have any paranormal questions :D

I actually saw a ghost once
I worked for about 2 months in a factory in mexico when I went for vacation, but one part of it closed down.. and its really isolated (really creepy) anyway I worked shifts, and 2 days I had to work all night in there..
anyway long story short.. I had to go to a huge storage room one night like at 1:40 a.m. and because it was in the night I was by myself, and I was the only one with a key to access it so I knew I had to be alone, and then when I was picking up a part of a machine I needed to get from there I saw a ghost (or at least I think it was a ghost) it had a human like figure but it was dark.. like black.. there was a light above it and I couldn't see the face/clothes colors, anything, just this dark shadow looking at me for about 4 seconds, then I realized it wasn't a person and I got really scared, all I did was to say "oh sh*#" turn around and run, after that I quit my job and spent the last week of my vacation time on my uncle's home (that's where I was staying at) then I came back to L.A...
but that shadow was the scariest thing I have ever seen in my life

your mind playing tricks on you
that's what everyone tells me, but the thing is I wasn't even scared before it happened, I was singing out loud, listening to my ipod..
AND the fact that I saw it for about 5 seconds even after blinking, leaves me no doubt that whatever I saw was real and was there.. hell I even saw how a bulb light was above it and how it didn't help at all on seeing its face or any colors on its clothes.. all I saw was this dark figure slightly moving and looking at me

Sometimes it's hard to tell, but usually most entities are seen from your peripheral, never head on. You should trust your instincts. You most likely saw a shadow person.
I actually joined the team because I believed all of this ghost stuff was a load of crap, and always remained skeptical. Boy, was I friggin wrong. You don't even want to know half the stuff I experienced, the team has everything on tape. We actually had filmed a few shows in partnership with PBS, it was very cool!

I am not actually allowed to publicly show evidence, its confidential, especially on the forum and I am not completely sure I am allowed to link the pbs videos because of not only copyright issues, but when I left the team I relinquished my rights.. and the people that took over and now run the team are a real bunch of d-bags. :*(

it would probably be an improvement as to my experiences with the paranormal. i been to all kinds of places where supposedly hauntings occur and i have never experienced anything more than stuff falling over and the "i think i saw something out of the corner of my eye" thing. usually when those happen i run to the spot where it happened but nothing once i get there. i been to "haunted" cemetaries, houses (not the ones that only open on october with a bunch of costumed people) hospitals (that when i look back at that one, had more of a ODST feel... or at least now it feels that way after i been playing ODST).

So I filmed a movie in an abandoned prison and while filming a couple of actors decided to go off and explore at like 3am. This is what they caught on camera. The only people in the prison were us and everyone except the two with camera were near me. Walking around this place in total darkness you definitely feel another presence around. I thought it was totally cool. Hopefully I get to go back with EVP, EMF equipment and a few night vision cameras.

Well, entitites aren't going to hang around. LOL. (no pun intended) But usually the best way is to have an open mind. The places I have been to back in the day were mainly residences and major major places to help people out.
I'd be more than happy to talk your ear off about this stuff if you want. feel free to message me :D
If there is one thing that I will stress that is of great importance it's don't EVER EVER EVER investigate your own house. It is a SUPER NO BUENO, don't drop a tape recorder and see what you can find or anything else. Its the worst thing you can do.
and when/ if you do use an EMF be aware that sometimes you aren't actually picking up 'entitites' sometimes its the magnetic field in your house or your circuit breaker. I was an idiot first day doing my thing and learned that from experience... lol whoops. :)

Since you thought the movie was good I will watch it. I am getting so scared reading all of these ghost stories! LOL!
I thought I saw a ghost one time. I was walking out of the room and I saw a pirate looking man flash by in front of me. It was so fast but I could see him so clearly. Creepyyy!
Also, this didn't happen to me but it happened to my friend. She used to live way out in the country and she was haunted by a ghost with the same name as her! When she was little, her rocking chair would start moving when she went to bed. She got scared so she told her parents about it. Her parents slept with her in her room the next night and nothing happened. The night after that, when she went to bed the rocking chair started rocking really hard and banging on the wall! Her mom is Native American so they had some Indian lady come to their house so the ghost wouldn't haunt her anymore. That's when they found out that the ghost had the same name as her and was murdered by her parents and buried down the road from their house. My friend said she also saw chicken ghosts running down her hall and she even heard little children laughing and running up and down her stairs. Scaryyy x_x
And not that I want to (AT ALL lol) but, what happens when people investigate their own house?

dude the movie was awesome the only part i got scared on was when micah got thrown at the camera and the chick gave a crazy smile and screamed at the camera every chick in the theater screamed and bugged the crap out of me my gf grabbed my jacket i thought omfg O.O but i like the alternate ending more when micah walks into the room and falls you here the chick still screaming and then she goes into the attic!!! the other alt. endings were stupidd like where the chick goes into the room sits there for a whole day and cops come to the house she walks to them saying micah she's obviously confused they shoot her she dies then her body starts twitching and you see a shadow over her very very stupid ending!!! i also liked when she was about to get dragged into the attic!!! i grabbed my gf's leg and she flipped out

I just seen it and it wasn't as creepy as I thought. But it had it's moments. Like when the girl was dragged, and a few times you could actually see the shadow. The steps, and the part where she was like "I want to stay here. I think we'll be fine." And she smiled. And the ending where she killed micah and then the police killed her. Didn't see all the different endings. Or the part where micah was thrown at the camera.
It didn't really have me jump or anything, just wonder if I really seen what I saw. A nice and interesting movie, and the ending that Equinox explains was fitting.

Ok. So I have seen this movie twice. Once in theatres and once on watch movies online.
I am not going to lie, HANDS DOWN the version online was better. Especially the ending.
I saw it in theatres last night, because I figured if I liked it on my computer I'd like it more on ze big screen. BOY WAS I WRONG. I totally felt cheated! Alot of things were different in theaters, they edited A TON of stuff out that I thought was very necessary for the story line. AND THE ENDING SUCKED. It made no sense whatso ever, and it was too "hollywood." I thought the first one I saw was subtle, which makes a good scary movie. I like when I have to have someone accompany me to the kitchen because I am afraid, but the ending and the lack of story line made the theatre one laughable.
I totally felt stiffed for the $11.00 I paid to see that b.s. in theatres :(
As a note, there are actually 3 Different Endings to this movie. The first one only made one public appearance because of the gore, and the 2nd one was I guess shown only in certain areas? and the last one was crap-ilicious.
rawr. I'm done ranting.

i finally seen it and... DAMN WHOEVER STARTED THIS 1ST PERSON CAMERA STUFF!! while it wasnt as bad as cloverfield or quarantine... i couldnt stand all the shaking and stuff. for the sequel im going to send them a camera tripod. that aside i liked the story, i never seen the original version so gonna wait for the blue ray (or dvd) to see that one and the other 2 endings.
real talk though... it made me rethink my obsession with encountering some real ghosts. still want the proof not so much for everyone else but mainly for me... get the curiosity out of the way but instead of taunting it... maybe just doing some detective work to find the proof.
