hmm, I like the idea but the game seems a bit far-fetched, imo.

Never heard of it.
I still don't get clans like "Christian Gamers Clan" that play games like Battlefield 2. I mean the point of the game is to kill, but have they forgotten "thou shall not kill?"
I know it's virtual killing, but I'm not aware of any exceptions to the rule (aka Commandment). It's not "thou shall not kill except in make belief."
I just don't get it. Then again... the crusades don't make sense to me either. A group of people go out and kill another group of people in the name of their God, who told them NOT to kill.
PS: the word "not" looks strange when it's in caps.

I don't really get the whole clan thing either. Especially those that make names like "the Pope" (real name I've seen in css btw). The person that kills them sees "i suck killed the Pope". Do they really want anyone to be able to ever see that message? I figure it's best to avoid religious stuff at all, especially in FPS titles. I'd rather have something clever personally, make people laugh.

"Left Behind," for those not familiar with it, is a series of books that begin with the apocalypse (as in, the rapture as described in the bible), and then follow the lives of people that were neither taken to Heaven nor pulled down to Hell during the war. The Anti-Christ rises up to take control of the world and these survivors form together to keep alive and fight against him.
I haven't read the books myself, but my mom was crazy about 'em.
What strikes me about the game (you can find screenshots at IGN), is that it looks really, really bad. The books were a big hit, as I understand it, and you'd think they could hire a team with some decent texture artists. The UI design is stuffy as well.

I actually beta tested the game, to me it didn't really excited me and it wasn't due to the fact it had to do religon either, just wasn't well made for me.

I was thinking Fallout Tactics engine myself - both are pretty old.
