Okay, my problem is that my 360 been freezing up on me in games...but it wont in the Dashboard. So, I know it has to do with the games. My disc are fine. I know its not my games. I keep getting this Line crap on my screen when it freezes. Here is the example using the Chrome Hounds map:

I this is what looks like with that line crap. It sometimes happen in the begining when it says Xbox 360 before it loads the game. It mostly freezes in the game. Anyone ever had this problem? How do you fix it if you solve the problem? Yes, I restarted my 360 over and over again but nothing change. It keeps on doing this.

It did once out if 100 times. What did that mean?

The ring of lights turning red means that the internal temperature of the system is too warm. My gut reaction is that your system is running close to the limit that sets off the temperature sensors. When the ring of lights did turn red, did anything change that might've caused the temperature to go up?

Not really. It maybe because of the dust in my new room (my basement is being done). My dad was an idiot to send the stuff down their before anything was even finish. I am afraid that dust got into the system to make it to this.

But, it only did the Red Ring once. Before and after the Red Ring it been doing that Freeze White Line crap.

Actually the ring of lights tells many things on what is going on with your system. It's almost like your check engine light and you put in the sensor reader to see what code it gives off to isolate the problem. Do you remember which lights lit up on your system?

Yes, all 4 lights turn red on around the Manual On botton on the system.

when all the lights lit up it was saying it lost it's connection to the video cable, You can try your system on another tv and check to see if that works. We want to rule out it is not your system and it is a failure on it's cable itself. Sometimes the system will crash due to the cable. You could try having your power supply away from everything and have lots of ventilation on it's six sides many crash related issues were solved because of the power supply overheating.

Have a friend lend you his cable if you want to go deeper and make sure it is your cable.

Hello Colin,

Thank you for writing Xbox Customer Support!

I do apologize for the inconvenience. I understand that the 4 quadrants of the ring of light in your Xbox 360 are flashing red.

The cause of this problem would be the audio-visual (AV) cable is not correctly connected to the Xbox 360 console. The cable is not being detected by the console. This issue is not caused by incorrectly plugging the AV cable into a TV, a stereo, or a VCR.

Please try the following steps to resolve the concern that you’re having.

1. Make sure that the AV cable is correctly connected to the Xbox 360 console.
2. Disconnect the AV cable from the Xbox 360 console, and then reconnect the AV cable to the Xbox 360 console.
3. If the four flashing red lights continue to flash, try wiping the metal area of the AV pack with a dry cloth. The metal area is the end that plugs into the console. Wipe the metal area thoroughly, and then try the AV Pack again.
4. If the AV cable is correctly connected but the four red lights are still flashing, substitute a different AV cable if you have one available.
5. If the four red lights continue to flash after you follow these troubleshooting steps, the Xbox 360 console may have to be repaired. Contact Xbox Customer Service.

If the AV cable is correctly connected but the four red lights are still flashing, substitute a different AV cable.

For further assistance, please don't hesitate to write back or call Xbox Phone Support at 1-800-4MYXBOX (1-800-469-9269) at your earliest convenience. We are open everyday from 9am to 12mn Central Time.

Yep, your right. But, my Power supply is fine. I due belive its a bad cable. I did everything they said. All failed. One of my test I heard sound then the pretty red lights came back. So, it has to be a bad cable. I hope my system is not damage. I am sure its not. :)

Lets just hope it the silly cable a small price to pay instead of sending the whole system back to Microsoft for repairs.

:(

I called Customer Support. It turn out it was the system itself. After we got a new cable cord. It too failed. But, some reason after we played with it. Only three of the four lights was red. Players 1, 3 and 4 was on. But, it don't matter now what it means. Customer Support is sending the box right now so we can return it for repairs. They said it be 3-4 weeks until I get it back. :( Oh well. My luck with Game Systems was going to run out aways. lol

But, hey. At least we can trust Microsoft.
