I hope I'm not the only one around here into guns. I just bought my first handgun. A .40 cal Glock 22. Almost zero recoil and I plan on getting a hi mag clip.

they arent that bad. i felt the same way until i emptied 2 100 round magazines on an MP5. talk about a rush. as far as in the house we have them out of reach of the child and the dog and we never pull them out of their hiding places unless we are going to use it for safety or when we go to the country for target practice.

No that's not the reason to buy arms. That a reason to go the shooting range on a sunday afternoon.
In Florida and Georgia, its very common place to bear arms and with the crime rate the way it is sometimes, better safe than sorry. We have a military household anyway, not to mention the fascination with WWII weaponry.

selfdefense ftw. I Live outside of dallas. some pretty crazy stuff happens here. I'd much rather feel safe and know the weapon i have and use, than hope nothing bad ever comes my way.

I have no objection to guns, personally, PROVIDED THAT IT IS ACCOMPANIED WITH EDUCATION AND RESPECT for the weapon.
In Florida, you are permitted, with license, to carry a concealed weapon.

I don't carry concealed. My boyfriend does. I travel alot and I am home alot so that is the only place and time I carry. I don't see a need to carry a glock in my purse. I am usually never in an area that is far from my car anyway and I am rarely out at night.

I agree with Hot chief as long as you have the license, the proper training, and education, there's nothing wrong with owning a gun, especially when it leads to more self defense classes.
People wouldn't think Florida was dangerous, but it is!
