What with i37 passing with few members attending i38 has now been organized heres all the information, it would be good to see some more people attending :)

i37 is dead! Long live i38!

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and the same has been true of i37. We hope everyone who attended had a great time, and those unable to make it, well you missed out!
i37 Coverage

If you missed out on i37, we have a load of coverage online for you to check out. Our team of roving reporters snapped thousands of photos of everything from the exhibitors to the pub quiz, the best of which can be found in the event gallery.
i37 also saw the return of i-Live, delivering news byte video snippets from the event, all in glorious HD. You can find out more about how the event is put together, what was going on in the exhibition and also what the future holds for Multiplay in the interview with our MD Craig 'Wizzo' Fletcher.

Check out the i-Live section on Fileplay for this and more.
i38 Launched

Our i38 early-bird promotion has now been launched. For those of you wanting to get in on a chunky 20% discount on your tickets, just head on over and book now.

i38 is set for 13-16 November, offers an initial 1500 BYOC/BYOX spaces and sees us returning to Newbury Racecourse, arguably the spiritual home of LAN gaming in the UK.

Already been to loads of our events and earned yourself a Gold discount level? You'll get yourself free Early Arrival Service on top of your discount, saving yourself over £30!
Newbury: The Return

With the return to Newbury, come some changes in the event. As always, we're working hard to take on suggestions and feedback to improve the events for you guys. Newbury and Stoneleigh are both very different venues, and both have their pros and cons.

For those of you not familiar with Newbury, here are some of the key things on offer:

*

Indoor sleeping space - limited indoor sleeping space, in what we call the "Red Rooms", named for the glow given off by the heating system, is available. This is a free service, and an alternative to camping in what could be a cold event.
*

Camping - There is ample free camping available for use at i38, with certain areas being designated Quiet Areas.
*

Multiple Room Atmosphere - At Stoneleigh some people feel some of the atmosphere is lost in one big hall without people sitting in their designated game areas. At Newbury and the LAN is spread over several floors, meaning we can once again have the electric atmosphere of being surrounded by your mates and 300 other CSS players, whilst a more relaxed setting to raid in peace in other areas.
*

Transport links - Newbury Racecourse is ideally located on the A34 and M4 junction and has it's own railway station on the main line to London Paddington.
*

Local Amenities - With the city centre within walking distance, including major shops such as Sainsburys and Tescos, getting those all important supplies and cash is a lot easier.
*

Pizza to the Desk - A major pizza chain will be back with an on-site presence and delivery direct to your seat in the LAN.
*

Clan boxes - A unique feature at Newbury that is always in high demand is the concept of private clan boxes. Usually used for corporate hospitality on race days, these offer space for between 11 and 44 gamers, allowing a "LAN within a LAN" feel.
*

The Tote Bar - set in a separate building right next to the main grandstand and with a real pub feel, the Tote was a favourite with many of our regulars at Newbury. With ample seating inside and out, serving real ales and the usual assortment of draft pints and spirits, the Tote is an oasis for those wishing to take a break from the gaming and chill out.

However, with i38 being at Newbury it doesn't mean we won't be returning to Stoneleigh Park. We will still be looking at the venue in the future for our largest events. We feel there are different benefits to each venue, with the summer event likely to be at Stoneleigh once again.
Check-in Improvements

One of the biggest issues raised to us in feedback from the event was the queue time during EAS. There are several options we're looking at to improve this, and we'll be making changes in time for the next event, to allow us to deal with what is quickly becoming an extra day of LAN.

We had nearly 3/4 of the LAN sign in during what was a relatively small window for processing that many people.
Seat Pickers

We've had a lot of feedback about our current seat picker system. With the move to Newbury it is no longer suitable in its current format, and we'll be working hard to better accommodate clans and large group bookings whilst we adapt it for use at Newbury. Part of this update will be a method for people to book clan boxes.
New Game Releases

Between now and i38 are some very big game releases coming. With BF1943 scheduled for release in September/October, and Call of Duty Modern Warfare coming out just a few days before, there could be some very interesting developments coming regarding tournaments at i38. Stay tuned for more information...
i-Hunt

The i-Hunt was very successful at i37, despite being announced quite close to the event whilst there were only a few seats left. With this in mind we're looking to be running i-Hunt once again at i38. A different venue will bring all new challenges. Will you win the race? For more information on i-Hunt, check out http://ihunt.multiplay.co.uk/
Tournament Signups

At i38 we're committing to offering support to more tournaments at the event. Already confirmed for the PC we have CS:S, TF2, a CoD series game and a BF series game. On Xbox we have Halo 3 and Street Fighter 4 with the possibility of more pending community feedback.

That's all for now, thanks for reading and I hope to see you at i38!

I went to i33 which was at newbury, and it was probably the best event i've ever been to. Although it's smaller, everyone's spread over 2 buildings with multiple floors, which makes it more cosy in my opinion. Whether i'll go to i38 or not depends when i get my timetable for uni
