I live there. More in the Santa Monica area though. I grew up in Simi. It's a nice place just really quiet.

I'll be hosting some gaming tournaments for GamingAngels. Other than that, there are some gaming events here like E3, or sometimes some press release events.

Ack! Really? I moved from LA to move in with my bf in Minneapolis...haha no i still don't like it and its been 2 years. I've found that once you're out its a lot harder getting back. I make less than i did in Cali, but living is cheaper out here.

Where it cost me $134 for the one way plane ticket out here, we estimate it'll be $2000+ to move both of us back :(

But happy to hear he took to it!! I need to get my bf a tan! :D LOL

So yeah, obviously i'm not in LA anymore, but you will absolutely love it. As Hoodlum said you can go to the desert, mountains, snow, fishing, and the beach! All in one weekend! (a day if you want too, but yeah)

San Francisco has a lot of stuff, but you need either access via your work (a credentials in the gaming industry), or you need to shell out oodles of cash i.e. GDC (Game Developers Conference).

GDC is a great place to be if you plan on being in the industry full time :)

San Francisco has Electronic Arts, Take 2, Lucas Arts, Pixar and so on; I don't live there, but I live in Sacramento, not to far off actually, about a 1 1/2 hour drive.
