PMS Clan Cited/Documented in Academic Paper!

Craig Zaidel, student at the University at Buffalo, recently wrote a thesis paper entitled:

Females and Online Gaming: The Culture of Halo 2


The thesis reveals a rather entertaining history and background of female gaming and exposes some of the urban myths perpetuated about why females play video games and what we want in video games. If you're like all the other "girls", you will laugh out loud when you read the "laundry list"! (Zaidel, 2)

Mr. Zaidel conducted traditonal "book" reasearch as well as observed a PMS practice and conducted follow up interviews of PMS clan members. (Zaidel, 22)


Mr. Zaidel has kindly given us the authority to publish his thesis on our site (attached as a .pdf file).

I did the paper to be quite interesting (and flat out laughed at the notion of "you just got aborted" becoming an insult on life comporable to owned :)

yeah i remember reading that :) very nice job on addressing some of the issues that are real and playing down a lot of the myths that surround female gamers. A good and amusing read overall. Sorry I missed the practice you attended with my delta girls
