I have an HD video camera and trying to use windows movie maker to add music and all the fun things to it. But when I try and import my video, which is AVI, it's blank...no video to play with. I've tried watching some of the you tube tutorials but they go over basic things like how to do stuff. I want to know how to get my dang video there first....Can anyone help me? FYI also, I'm really weird about downloading all those random software's they have out there too like..."download me I can do this or that for you" I don't want my laptop to get screwed up, you know! Thanks for any ideas!

What a coincidence, I had the same problem! Heres the thing, windows movie maker doesnt run with AVI files, so you need a converter. Google "AVI to MVI converter"

If you need anything else just lemme know ;)

In the options sections it says I have an "AVI Compressor" whatever that is! If that's the case, I guess it's not working...lol! Flip, I have a 64 bit Intel dual core duo. Pnada, which one did you start using? I don't like to download things to my computer, I'm real picky! Do you have one you would suggest? Thanks for the input!

Crazy...will it work on 64 bit computers? I don't know how many things I've noticed that are NOT compatible for it, you know? Please let me know if you can...thanks.

Try this link on YouTube for your video issue. If you can't seem to solve it, PM me if you'd like and I'll take it from there

Great Goldeneye, thanks. My hubby has it, so I'll get him to put it on my computer in the morning. Awesome!
