yep..so..who here is a metal gear solid fan? and..what does everyone think of the soon-to-be MGS "4"?

I haven't heard much about it but apparently Snake is going to be older and it will effect in-game stuff (he'll stop to cough, etc) which will make the game more difficult.


and for the die-hard MGS fans such as myself.........

i got all of the meatal gear games, and i even heard that they are putting snake, as in the same snake from Metal gear into..... the wii's new super smash bro game, talk about wird. but for that reason im going to buy that game so i can still say that i have all the MGS games. and ya im going to get the next MGS game that comes out for the ps3. but what i dont get is, why the FA is riden a robo dude now, like ninja. thats just messed up:eek:

I heard that too. I'm not sure what I think of it atm. It depends on what his abilities are, and if they're simply fun to play with.

The MGS games are fun to play. I have the original MGS and MGS3 right now. I played MGS2, but the naked Raiden scene makes me kinda uncomfortable.

I only got to play the first 2 MGS games because I dont have a ps2 anymore, but I heard that the 3rd one (Snake Eater) is crazy awesome.

I dono if i'll ever get the 4th one though, PS3's are way out of my price range, and im not gonna buy one just for that game.

As for Raiden... I liked him as a character. I liked his story (eventhough it made things mondo confusing at the end of MGS 2), and I thought it was a cool thing to do in the end, it made the game less straight forward than it would have been if you were snake the entire time.

I'm a hardcore Metal Gear Solid fan. I never played the ones on the NES but got into the game since MGS on PS1. MGS2 Sons of Liberty is one of my favourite games ever made...the gameplay, storyline and feel of the game is immense.

I beta tested Metal Gear Solid: Subsistence which was an online deathmatch version of MGS3. That was great fun. I'm looking forward to MGS4 and if the storyline continues from the 2nd (which I always thought it should) then it'll be very interesting.

i know exactly what ya mean, that sence is just wack. and what i just don't get is how the f is raiden a robo dude. he had girl friend and all and now hes like darth vader and padmay is dead.

I dont think we WILL know 'till MGS4 comes out. However, if you look at trailer, notice how he is extremely pale, almost white. If I can remember correctly, his blood has been completely removed and replaced by some strange substance which I'm pretty sure is infused with not only a constant stream of oxygen, but nutrients, and nanomachines as well. It's also pretty sweet how he did all of that showing the power of his suit. His eyes were closed the entire time, but when he opened them, it's another show of PS3 graphics... pupil dialation.

I also heard the reason why Snake looked old and almost decaying was because of Foxdie. Just a rumor. Not sure. I'll try and find some info later on and post it here.

I am getting a PS3 for MGS4. Only game on the PS3 that really has my interest.

I just hope Snake doesn't die and they continue the story with Raiden =(.....I also hope MGS 4 is long i enjoy long games with great stories.

I thought the only good one was the first one, that was really amazing at the time and it had me going back for more every day (especially with that sweet *** ninja suit you could unlock ;) ). Shame they all lost track after that.

I try to get into MGS, but the controls have always felt awkward to me. I love the concept though, and the games are always gorgeous to look at.
