i know there is a lot of good stuff about this game, and i finally got to play it at pax. it was amazing. there are of course some graphical stuff that needs to be done, but so far, it is looking awesome, and a LOT harder. get ready everyone, this game is gonna be a doozy.

yea supposedly its going to have online play which will rock and also the songs on it are better than before ( they were already good enough ). Can't wait to buy this and play online with some of you peeps :D

Multiple people asked the guys at PAX about Guitar Hero coming to the 360. Their response was always "We can't comment about that" - but there was definitely a hint that it's coming in the way that they said it. They've already admitted that they know that the 360, with marketplace, is the place they should be.

I suspect the announcement about GH on the 360 will come after the holiday season. There was probably some deal with Sony so that Red Octane/Harmonix wouldn't say anything until then.

wellllll we took a tour of G4 when in L.a. for Fios grand and they had guitar hero 2 (for ps2) and twin asked about it comming to xbox... they all just smiled and said "well... we can't say anything"
so..
I wouldn't rule it out :D

i would rather not see that happening. then it will just dulify to another 360 game. i'd much rather it stay on the ps2. where it was made, and where it should stay, if you didn't notice, i'm completely against games sequels or remakes going to the 360. it's dumb. i dont care about "marketplace" guitar hero is perfect as is. it doesn't need the help of being able to download more songs.

i will be very unhappy of it's launch on the 360. then people will say "i'm so good i got it on teh 360! and i got ALL the achievement points!"

i just don't want to see a good game go down the casual road.

I like GH on PS2, BUT I think it would be really awesome to play it online.. and on the xbox since it (obviously) has better mulitplayer support.. but w/e Just my opinion.

I'd probably end up buying both anyways since I already have a controller for ps2, and if there were enough people wanting to play it on xbox, i'd buy it because single player GH is nothing compared to its multiplayer..

But yeah. just my opinion again :p

true the single player isn't as good in GH1. but in GH2 they have changed it so much that even the single player is going to be amazing. plus, the multiplayer is good, but IMO playing with your friends at home, being able to punch 'em or mess up their playing is WAY more fun than online with someone you don't even really know.

that's why the gh multiplayer succeeded :)

The problem I would see with it online would be lag. They'd have to figure out some other way to sync the 2 systems, so you aren't missing notes due to latency :x.

EDIT: If its on the 360, I'd also like to see a way to upload songs and make the guitar notes for them, or make completely new songs.. It would be very difficult to do, considering all the songs on GH are cover bands and layered to where people still sing if you miss notes (for example, if you uploaded a song and somebody missed a note, theres no way to layer it to where you can cancel out only the guitar and let the rest play).. but I think the option should at least be made available.

Just played guitar hero for the first time and had so much fun.

I heard guitar hero 2 was going to be on the 360 as well....

Now the question is...go a head and pick it up for the PS2...or wait.....

omg i love guitar hero. I played it for the first time at our robotics party!...that sounds nerdy...anyways i love it! The Quakecon finals were awesome! Meow recorded the guys play. I thought it was pretty cool.

I know this is an old topic but I always play this on my ps2 and Im waiting for the 360 version. I can play on expert so im happy. takes a lil while but its fun, and whoever said the thing about beast and the harlot...i was syched to man but I gotta tell yea...IT SUX!!!!!!! they did a really crappy job on it, the voice fails....only good thing is they added a cool bell sound near the end.
