View Full Version : H2O Clan Overview
Attention
Over the past several months we've been working on trying to streamline the H2O structure to allow for both better integration of members and refinement of the current generation. To that effort we have been working with the forum administration to better accommodate the H2O structure.
There will be a variety of changes with both our forum structure and the clan structure, and this document should help give the community as a whole an idea what the clan represents and exactly where we're headed. Please take the time to read through it (I apologize in advance should there be any grammatical errors). The H2O private section should see a major revamp shortly after this weekend's events, and there will be a variety of usergroup changes occurring within the next several weeks / months to reflect the new structure.
Thank you for your attention, and please read the attached .pdf carefully.
Pick and choose, if the attached file doesn't work, just use this link - same difference :)

Are these changes due to what?
These changes have been necessary for a while now, but the biggest reason is to accommodate the almost exponential growth this community has seen in the past year.

Alright, also one thing that isn't really clear to me is the part where it says something like "please don't change your name to make it have an H2O tag unless you've been here for a while" or w.e. Is that talking to recruits or members as well.

Fine job, is this the handbook or just the overview?
Either way, I hope that this will help prospective recruits get a firm idea of what H2o stands for, and maybe even remind some of the long time members what we're here for.

Its saying dont make it unless you're in the clan. But if you have been an H2o like lets say ive been around and i have a pms girl and everyone knows me but im not in the clan. Its alright for me to have a tag called H2o buddy or something. If im wrong then please correct me rip.
At this point in time we are asking only those in H2O clan, those who are H2O Community Leaders, or those who have PMS girls to utilize the H2O name. In an effort to keep the community open we have to ask those in the community to refrain from using the H2O name, its simply too difficult to regulate.
Demon, this is the overview, a mere taste to the full version that some will eventually have to agree to. More on that later, but in comparison this is just a fraction of the full version.

I know I'm not an h2o and therfore this probably doesnt really pertain to me, BUT I just wanted to say that it sounds really good and I like everything you are trying to do!!! :) I for one was a little worried about the "non-sponsored" h2o thing, but this cleared a lot of stuff up for me and it sounds pretty good :)
Keep up the good work gentlemen!!

thank you Rip, for the much needed reminder of the reason we are all here...or supposed to be.
that sounds great....it reminds me of why i joined. i'm honored to be hot chief's H2o. it's been a year and i hope we get to see many more. i joined for her, i told her i would try my hardest not to disappoint her. my reason for staying is the same, i'm only here for her and the rest of the girls i've had the pleasure of meeting. ultimately, it's for Dianne (hot chief). i'll never leave her.

I really need to get back into the program.
I fell out when I lost internet and Xbox Live at home, although I maintained my relationship with my PMS girl, and still came to the forums as often as possible.
Now, I'm on Live at least once every other day, and I visit the forums daily. MuseChick is still the number one girl to me, and still my PMS girl. In fact, at Orlando, I couldn't believe how many PMS and H2o people recognized me and acknowledged me. It was heartwarming.
So, since I have Live back, I'd like to start playing with the boys again. Thanks, Rip and Souls, for making such an extensive handbook for H2o.

Ya excelent Job on the 5 pages. I read it a few days ago and had to leave before i could reply on the work u and soul did. Very nice job. It really does help alot on wat it means to be an H2o. I ain't one but it sounds like there is a set bar to become and stay an H2o.
I am amazed on how it describes all the H2o that i have met. Once again Good Job and keep up the good work.

When you recruitment is up and you attend orientation you will receive the handbook and you will get much more information.

The bottom section of that PDF states "I have fulfilled one of the above requirements."
Is the list of requirements above missing?

It is referring to posting in the recruitment forum. H2O has changed in format dramatically since this document was originally created. You just have to post in the recruitment forums with your information.

Okay. I read most of the overview...I think...mehbeh >.>...heheh
The thing is. I read you either are picked up by a PMS or you stick around. I can do the sticking around. It's doubtful a PMS would pick a silly 14 year old :P, but I do have a question.
Now, I've been reading we can be in multiple divisions...That true? >.>...Cause I was thinkin of joining the
GH division, WC3 division, COD4 PC division, n the SC division >.>...Course, with the member trials n what not...first comes my PC upgrade for a working soundcard though >.<
Mutliple divisions are allowed - however you would need to be able to make practices for all the divisions. Two is probably the limit you'd want to use, its difficult after that to manage it all. Of course of those divisions you listed, COD is the most active followed by GH, the SC and WC3 are pretty much casual right now for H2O within the states.

Oh I know. I'm 14, with enough problems in school...I'd be casual in all of em...SC I can't play MUCH ATM, not until I buy my own Battlechest ^^;. I have COD2 and 4 for the PC...not 360 >.>...(360 is my bro's, so thats why, plus GH3 would be online only if I can rebuy my gold >.>)
So, if I just joined 4 for casual, then tried joining 1 for competitive in say...june, since I get out the 4th, would that work?
