Im running Windows NT Workstation and I like know whats the best sound card for this kind of PC?:o

wow a bit old skool there, if your machine that old best to just upgrade the whole thing. If you dont want too, then get a sound blaster 24-bit card. Running anything like a sound blaster x-fi card might not be to your advantage.

Windows NT Workstation? I assume NT 4.0 then - if the computer is as old as the OS makes me believe, you shoudn't really buy a soundcard for this one - I haven't seen NT 4.0 used in atleast 5 year, and if the computer is that old, the computer itself is a waste of space.

However, if you got some PCI slots in this machine, you can go out and buy one of the budget cards from Creative, as they've got drivers for most operating systems, and you'll be able to keep it when you upgrade.

I would say get a Sound Blaster 5.1 OEM card (check ebay for the old cards dont get the Audigy ones thats too new) just something basic that supports older operating systems to be honest.

Actually by looking at some of the requirements for sound blaster cards. Need at least win 98. There isn't any more support for NT workstation.
