Soo i am thinking about getting a degree in game design..but still on the fence! is anyone in school for it? or has already done it and can give me some advice!?

I know some people that tried to study game design, I'll ask them why they quit.
Gamasutra has an education page. I've never checked it but you might want to take a look. (I honestly don't know what it has but the site is mainly news so you might get something there)

I am going to Full Sail University right now. It was pretty nice and I am surprised by how much I learned. I am working on a game right now for graduation.
Most of them are programming degrees just to let you know if they say game design in them. Shoot for a QA position, that is the quickest way to get into a design position.
