Star of the silver screen, Adam Sandler has been doing his part in charity fund raising for the victims of the Israel-Lebanon war. He is sending 400 play stations to Israel.
The Anger Management star said the Playstations would be delivered to those families whose houses had been damaged in the fighting.

We assume he means those who were hit by Hezbollah rockets as there are not a heck of a lot of Israeli houses inside Lebanon. We also assume that they are houses with a power supply and working televisions or else they will have difficulty getting them to work..

Wow. Considering the whole electricity thing, I think handhelds would have been the way to go... :D

If their houses have been damaged, wouldn't you think they'd rather have a new house instead of a Playstation? I dunno, glad he's trying to help though.

hrmm.. considering market over there (x360's are like $1,000 + retail) they could probably turn around and sell those consoles at a considerable markup.

Eh, everyone helps in their own way. While I agree that there are many, more suitable things that could have been donated you tend to make decisions based on personal preferences and perspective.

Just like how my fav color is blue.. so when picking out a gift for someone else.. unless I am specifically keeping in mind what the persons fav. color is.. Its possible I'll subconciously lean toward a blue colored gift.

Ahh who am I kidding.. that was a horrible analogy and that guy is out of his mind. I dont really think "its the thought that counts" works in this sort of situation...
