So this morning someone close to my home decided to spray one of my outdoor cats with bleach. My mom thought at first that he rolled around in it but noticed his fur wasn't ruffled and the patches were in streaks rather than clumps.
My mom and dad rushed him into the tub and washed it off, first unaware of what he was covered in. My mom smelled it and knew it was bleach right away. When parts of his fur were left yellow-orange, it was confirmed. Some sick jerk doused our white cat in bleach.
If it reached his skin he could have suffered burns. His all white coat is no more. It's sad he's staring out the screen door and my dad has to tell him "you can't go outside today, not after this."

Wow, some people in this world are just stupid... it pisses me off so much to see something hurt because of the ignorance of another.

Devo im sry that happened to ur cat :( i hope he heels/feels better and his fur grows bak to the same way it used to be
ppl make me mad! i dont know how ppl can be so heartless to animals, we might not see it sometimes but animals hav feelings to they get hurt and cry about it in the way they were made to, ppl who torture poor defensless animals should be punished!

Well, I've watched my share of Animal Planet, and thank god that AT LEAST some get punished. I've seen people go to jail because of it. Humans can be cruel creatures...

While I was doing this I found a trail and it lead me to realize the whole sidewalk up and down the street was covered in that stuff. As well as spills in part of the street.

I personally hate animal cruelty. Nothing deserves to be harmed in such a way. If I ever make profit out of my movies, I'm donating the money to a PETA-like organization.

I just let the cat outside and hide with a bat, then when the guy/girl comes quickly ambush him and beat that person down

wow im so sorry it hear that Dev..i hope ur cat is feeling itself again soon....We get some sick ppl over here to,they have been on the news a couple of times, like when some kid decided to microwave his friends cat and the other on latey is when so kids droped a cat off a tower block about 3 times because he was still alive.

that sucks.. I just dont understand people sometimes. What would possess someone to do that? Where would you get the idea? What would inspire you to think "hey, lets spray it with bleach!" when you see a cat walking down the street?
Granted.. I remember being a kid and I did some pretty stupid stuff.. but never anything that would harm someone else or a living animal.
On a side note.. if you want the pretty pristine white fur again, you could always shave the cat and let the hair grow back.. not sure if theres anything unhealthy that can result from shaving a cat... but then again, the cat probably doesnt care that he/she has bleached fur and the thought of shaving a cat just to satisfy its visual appearance for your own sake sort of seems wrong as well.

It's not too bright, it might fade away within months even. I'm just flabbergasted at what happened on my street and why my cat was a victim.
