Why is it when I am playing a fair game either sniping or a rumble pl seem to just have to use either stand by which basicly stops the game and is ez kills for them as i look at the blue screen of death. or when im playing a sniper someone hacks it where thier gun is like a machine gun and also making u appear in the same spot very time getting up to 50 kills in no time. Why can`t ppl play the game and play it right.

well thats my opinion on the hacking matter

nothing is going to stop it. i have given up complaining. if they do it, just stay in the game, make them waste as much of their time as possible and go on. your never gonna be able to stop them, nor is bungie. i know it sucks, but yeah.

Yeah, I don't like to play Matchmaking that much anymore. In fact, just yesterday I played a guy who decided he wanted to stand-by in Team Snipers. I told him he was bad, he challenged me to 1v1, "claimed" he was a legit 34, and I beat him pretty bad. :) Then he figured out I was a girl and sent me a friend request (I hate how that happens).

That.s why I dont play Halo often. Im with you on the hacker topic, I had been modded against way too much and tired of people cheating to get their way. If people keep cheating and modding they will soon get caught.

Personally, I think there's a time for fun, and there's a time for real play.

When I play games online, sure it's fun to play with people who use hacks when you just want to play a game for fun like that. Like infinite jumps in SSB, feels like you're fighting in a DBZ game.

But it's not allowed in a lot of games, and hacking just to win is no good. I HATE when me and people are playing a real game, and someone comes in and starts playing with hacks.

Like FFLY, I remember when I played it. When it was just starting out, some hackers kept leaving a bunch of gold all over, and it lagged the servers up and even crashed them. Everyone had to wait weeks more before they could play.

If I'm really pissed off, I might hire a better hacker to hack them. But not usually. XD

Well even sys lnk in halo 1 had a small problem-questionable spawning.
While people cheat their way through halo 2 i'd like to have seen at least this fixed,
but i've been playing halo 2 and died then spawn right next to an enemy who obliterates you before you can react.

I wonder if bungie could ban people like blizzard has with wow players in halo 3.

Hopefully they at least get spawning set up better-say either in a conpletely playerless area of the map or in a group of buddys not the typical group of enemys i seem to run into with great frequency.

Yeah Derek, I feel your pain. Remember last night those guys hacking in that game. Horrible. If you wanna hack/glitch, do it on your own time. Not when I'm trying to have a decent match. I understand these hackers will find a way, but keep it out of the games where people are trying to practice to get their LEGITIMATE skill up. make your own parties and glitch with friends, but leave everyone else out of it.

I don't play halo much apart from my CAD class( and what a class it is), but it seems to me that if Bungie really went after all the hackers, they would lose half their gamers...

And having hacking gamers paying is better than no gamers to them. So they just do what they can and try to keep the rest of the players happy.

In the end, it's all about $$.

PS Sorry if I'm being a bit agressive about this, at the SSBA forum I admin we've had a lot of problems with hackers and spammers, and I'm just really fed up.

Why the HECK would you want to advertise about russian dating and making money on a forum with 5 people visiting it a week!?żż?

In fact, I got cheated just an hour ago. A guy was standbying in Double Team, but the worst part is he denied it with his life, even though it was REALLY obvious. That's why I really only play matchmaking if someone asks me too, because I don't care much about my level.

Yea, it's gotten to the point where If I go into any playlist with more than just myself or one other person I'll get cheated. I'm not even that high of a level but it's just ridiculous. What's the fun of going into a team game if you can't bring a full team without getting cheated in one way or another. Sure I'll complain if someone else has host, but that means I just have to outsmart them and outplay them. But when I don't even get a chance to shoot back is just ridiculous. I can't even see any fun in it for the people who are cheating. It's not fun just hitting one button for an entire game. It does feel great though when you kill a modder...I had one instance in a Skirmish game on Terminal where I watched a modder jump backwards to avoid my wraith boost and I just timed it to where he was going to land and fired a blast and nailed him in the face, it was so rewarding. Back to the topic though, I try mainly to just stick to customs, it's just hard to find people who are on the same time as myself. I need to add more names to my Friends List, I think I only have around 20.

You can add me, I'm on a lot, but on the 25th, I'm not going to play for like 2 weeks and may have a new account. But for those 6 or so glorious days, you'll have someone to play with :)

bungie can't ban people from xbox live. that is all microsofts deal. they can however ban them from matchmaking, so money with bungie has nothing to do with it. bungie CANT do anything, because of the fact that they ban people from mm, then they make a new GT and do it more. there isn't stopping them.

with halo3 the main thing that would make it better, is have all the servers dedicated, so NO one can standby. and NO one could force host. of course that would cost a lot of money to have a huge server, but it would deffinatly stop the cheating pretty much completely.
