Haha sure! I came here on vacation 2 years ago and I loved it. My fiances uncle was hiring in the company he works in so we got to move down here! Why you moving here?

Move to a new place. It's warmer, cheaper, more opportunity then where I am for jobs. And just some personal reasons. Lol idk, I've talk to a bunch of people and I hear good things about NC so why not. Lol

Yeah it is better here. We wanted to move here for the same reasons. Our place rent is 350 a month. And my fiance has a job that pays 50k a year. So we got lucky. We got engaged once we moved here. Being in Mass I lost my job. I filled out 82 applications and I didn't get hired anywhere. My fiance got fired after me as well. We were gonna lose our place and bills were piling up. We got really lucky that the time was right!

That sucks, at least your at a better place lol. Yea, rent around here in New Hampshire just for a poor crappy 1 bedroom place is about 750$ month. That's like the cheapest, and with my job, I barely make 300$ a month. So basically I would work just to have a roof over my head. That doesn't include car and phone bill, tools, gas and food. So I'm living with my mom just to get by with paying for all of that. Hopefully moving down south I can find a better place that pays more.

Gratz on the fiancée thing lol. I haven't found my mate yet. Not looking anymore. I thought I found someone but no. Lol o well, when I find one I'll know it's her. For now I just need to concentrate on other matters.

Hi there NC gamers! I haven't had much luck meeting people since I moved down here. I really would love to meet fellow gamers. I used to host LAN parties up in Mass. We did PC games, consoles, whathaveyou. We have food as well! We order pizzas, or my fiance and I will cook general tsaos or spanish food. So if guy are interested in ever getting together for some gaming I would love to host a LAN party for all the NC gamers here! Much love! And hope I didnt sound creepy Hahaha

It's definitely not that bad down here. But the gaming communities need a kick in the pants. Most of the big gaming circles are over in the eastern side of the state around Raleigh and surrounding areas. There needs to be something over in the Piedmont.. ideally Winston-Salem/Greensboro. There is a little bit over in Charlotte, but from the looks of it, it has died down a lot.

But I wouldn't mind having a bit of a gamer fest as long as I had the time and it wasn't too terribly far.

Lumberton, NC here, I sometimes go to Elite Zone in Fayetteville, it has like 40 360s and like 10 computers or something. Didn't get to make it to Goldsboro this year for CGS but I went last year!

I was going to go to CGS this year, but it was either that or going to Orlando for a unique experience/opportunity. Figured since I haven't been to Florida in over a decade, it was about time. But I did go to CGS last year. It was fun, but I didn't get to do a whole lot since I was reffin' the MW2 tournament on behalf of the clan.

I've been going to CGS for the past three years. I usually play in the Rock Band tournament (won 3rd place the first two years, won 1st place and Showmanship this year) but I try to get around to see some of the other stuff going on. Fully intend on returning next year, maybe I'll catch you and others out there :) You going to join any of the tournaments?
