Right Analog Sticking - Xbox Controller

I've been having probs with my xbox controller. My right analog likes to stick every once in a while and it takes me a couple of pushes to zoom in halo 2. Once I take it apart, other than just cleaning dirt and dust off of it, any ideas on how to make sure the click makes contact? I'm currently saving money for a wedding and honeymoon, so a new controller is not in the budget for the next month or so.

Is your budget THAT tight that you can't even buy an xbox controller!?!

Hmmm... maybe just wearing it down a bit. Like just pressing it a lot until it breaks itself in. I had the same problem with my Y button stickin and that helped that.

I could spare the 30 bucks. It's just with rent, bills, wedding, honeymoon, I'd rather try to save it first. I'm an audio/video tech, so I like to fix things when I can, but compressed air and an alcohol swab hasn't fixed this yet and I don't want to do any soldering. It doesn't necessarily stick, it's more of just being non responsive.
