I saw this the other day. It's amazing how the dog really wants to save his mate. It does look like the other dog is dead though. Animals are so amazing it baffles me.

It just shows you that animals have feelings too. I have a tear in my eyes after watching that cause I own two dogs myself. Hopefully they can find the hero dog a good home.

I'm conflicted whether or not the dog really just wanted to eat the other or save it. At the same time I don't think a dog would risk his life to get a meal in the middle of a highway when there is food elsewhere that would be much easier to obtain (ie: garbage).

Anyway some of the comments on the videos are F-ed up. I'd like to believe that this dog wanted to save the other, I don't see why animals can't be capable of emotions like the rest of us.

Yeah I say he was going to eat it. It was the biggest and closest thing to him. And I don't think a dog that small would have saved him anyway. I mean I expect something as a German Shepherd or a lab to save a human or another dog but that's because they can be as strong and fast as humans sometimes.

That's never a given, and you should always stop, if you have a heart...

It might have broken bones and not be able to move, be in shock etc. but still have a heart beating while it lies in pain because of what you did and didn't care enough to check on it.
