"Ceiling Stare"
I'm laying in my bed
No one coming in my room to tell me to go to sleep
No one calling my cell phone to ask me how my day was
No one to tell my problems, and hear theirs in return
I've got this ceiling stare
Like my eyes have a veil over them
Like I was blind to the nothing going around me
then there's a sound of a door opening
but it is not the one belonging to my bedroom
It belongs to my heart
All that I've been
Was a closed off individual
Depended on, but no one to depend on
and she opened the door
She opened the door to my heart,
so now I've got this ceiling stare
but it's not because of what I can't see
it's not because of what isn't happening,
I've got it cause of her
I've got it cause I'm dreaming
Cause I'm dreaming of her friendly stare
cause I'm dreaming of seeing her again
cause for once someone truly opened up that door
they opened the door to my heart
and I think I'm finally ready to let the sun in.
