:mvangry: My Live isn't working and when I run the test it shows that the problem is my IP adress. So I unplugged my modem and plugged it back in. Still nothing, so I unplugged everything and still nothing. Plz help!!! I'm pretty sure it has to do with my 360 and not the modem its self.

I can't call microsoft cuz I'm out of minutes. I sent them an email and It said it will take a couple of days. Thats to long. Anybody got any other suggestions

If it's failing on the IP address, try assigning it an IP address in the range of your modem. Most of them are set to be in the 192.168.1.xxx range, so try setting it to something like 192.168.1.45.

since i use to have a temp job with Microsoft XBox Tech Support let me see what i can find..
Try searching some of the KB's on the Xbox Support Website or Microsoft.
XBOX Support Website (http://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/xbox360/default.aspx)
Search for what your looking as if its Google.

That happen to me before, I was trying different things then I unplugged everything for like 10 minutes. Plugged it back in, and it worked fine for me again. LOL though it might be different for you though. :)

I know that XBL is acting up and has been for a few days now. My hubby keeps getting booted offline a few times an hour.

ya i unplugged everthing for like 3hrs and then it worked 4 me lol so try that :mvsmile:

modems don't route.
popular gateway addresses by manuf. AND available ip addresses (that won't be conflicted by the routers dhcp pool)
d-link - 192.168.0.1 : 192.168.0.2-99, 151-254
linksys - 192.168.1.1 : 192.168.1.2-99, 200-254
2wire - 192.168.1.254 : 192.168.1.2-59, 100-253
netgear - 192.168.1.1 : 192.168.1.2-254
you can verify your gateway by going on your PC and clicking start->run, type cmd, then click ok. type ipconfig /all and note the IP address and defaut gateway.

Why dont you go into your xbox network setting and enter your IP address in manually? Maybe its not picking it up after it's refreshed or something from your ISP.

Well if you unplugged everything and didnt plug it back in... i dont think the xbox would turn on at all!
