H2O KoRnKiD and I have come together in a joint-effort to spread the metal! Check back daily to see what songs and bands we post next!
Here is the complete list of songs. I encourage you, if you like these songs, to go out and buy the full CD so you can support the band! Believe me, my cousins were in a fairly well-known band in the south called The Skadaddles, and every little bit helps! My cousin Matthew now runs his own recording studio in Atlanta, Georgia (Marigolds & Monsters Studios). He's recorded with bands such as Underoath and The Chariot, among many others. He mostly deals with the local bands of Atlanta, though, because he remembers what it is like to be one. :] his lovely wife Liz is a professional graphic designer and does the album art, concert posters, and tons of other stuff (you can check out her work at http://alterna180.com/). Anyway, I say all that to say this: don't just download these songs and forget about the bands. I really encourage you to explore the band's other CD's and go out and purchase them. :]
Thanks for your support!

Awesome thread!
So anyways.. I guess I'll be covering the "band of the day" part of this thread. Basically what I'll be doing is naming the band, give a few links for you all to check out, mostly myspaces, official websites, and occasionally a fansite or two. Then I'll give a brief description of the band. I may also post a few song links. soooo lets get this started.
Alright! new plan! going to post previous band on this post so they're easier to find, just as Krissy has done with the songs. I also have to agree that if you like the band, please DO NOT just download all their music, please go out to your local music store, best buy, circuit city, walmart, whatever, and support the band by buying their albums. Thank you

Killswitch Engage was formed in 1999 by guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, bassist Mike D'Antonio, and former vocalist Jesse Leach. The band released their first album which is self titled in 2000. The band was signed to Roadrunner Records in 2001, and released their second studio album "Alive or Just Barely Breathing" in 2002. Vocalist Jesse Leach as was married in 2002 and while on tour became depressed to the point where it had effected his vocals. He later sent an email to bassist Mike D'Antonio stating that he had quit the band. Howard Jones took over as vocalist for the band. The band released their third studio album, and first studio album to feature new vocalist Howard Jones, titles "The End of Heartache" in 2004. The band is currently in the studio working on their fifth studio album expected sometime in spring 2009.

Ok I have to post these here... now before I do so.. I encourage EVERYONE to go and buy this Soundtrack because it's absolutely incredible.
Queen of the Damned OST
Jonathan Davis - Not Meant For Me (http://rip2001.korn-locker.net/audio/qotd/NotMeantForMejonathanDavis.mp3)
Jonathan Davis - Forsaken (http://rip2001.korn-locker.net/audio/qotd/ForsakenJonathanDavisVocals.mp3)
Jonathan Davis - Redeemer (http://rip2001.korn-locker.net/audio/qotd/Redeemer-JD.mp3)
Jonathan Davis - Slept So Long (http://rip2001.korn-locker.net/audio/qotd/SleptSoLong-JD.mp3)
Jonathan Davis - System (http://rip2001.korn-locker.net/audio/qotd/System-JD.mp3)
The reason I am posting these song here is because Jonathan Davis of Korn did the original recordings for the movie "Queen of the Damned" (My all time favourite movie by the way!) but when the OST was to be recorded Jonathan's contract with Sony BMG didn't allow him to appear on the Album.. so you won't find these versions of the song on the OST. Enjoy :D

I don't think I'm going to keep including little tidbits of info from each band I choose from now on.. I'm just going to name the band, when they formed, and list their albums and a song or two.. the bio's and stuff are nice but if people really care about that particular band THAT much they'll go find that info out on their own..
And I don't really wanna post a band today cause I'm not really feeling much better.. but I haven't posted in here in a while so I guess I'll post a band today.. check back in a little while.. haven't decided which band to post yet.
