6 (ff3 on the snes) is the first one I played, and I still consider it the best. I find that I enjoy the old 2D graphics more. The characters in 6 are some of my favorites, and it can be quite funny sometimes (the interaction between Edgar and Sabin, for one thing). The setting in 6 is awesome. I could go on...

Final Fantasy VII is the best for the following reasons:

- Revolutionized Gaming
- Awesome Story with Love, Betrayal, Action, Drama, and it made me cry lol
- Awesome CG and ingame graphics at the time
- Fully Cutomizable Materia so you could make any char a certain job class
- Great Replay Value
- 80 + Gamplay Hours
- The best villain in any game ever Sephiroth!
- Not to mention my man Cloud Strife!

I think the only other final fantasys that would even compare with FF7 is FF8 for its amazing story, FFX since it change the way we see Final Fantasy, and Final Fantasy III since it started it all with the job classes.

My husband has played all the final fantasies and he looks online at the new Dirge of Cerebrus one every week and debates with himself whether or not he should buy it. FF7 DC is a good game, it has the graphics of the FF7AC and lots of movie cut sences, and the battle system is pretty good. i would give it 7.5/10 for Good

I love X. I started 7 but never finished because of a memory card error, skipped 8, loved 9. 10, for me was one of the most unique storylines I've ever encountered. Plus there was soo much to do. I think one of my games has 100+ hours going.

I loved the art direction in 9 but if I had to choose it comes to a tie between VII and X. VII has great memories attached to it and the story struck a chord.. but I really liked the character development / level up design in 10.

So ultimately I chose 10 since as far as gameplay went it had a lot more to it.

Hated 9, Loved 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10. I actually hated 7... did not enjoy the game at all and the ending was dreadful. However that has changed after watching Advent Children since it gave some closure. Aerith is still one of my fav characters of all time next to Celes and Yuna.

Diverging away from the ever popular choice to proclaim FF VII the only worthwhile game, I went with FF IX. I'm not sure why but it felt more original and even though I never finished it I still thought it was great all the way through.

It wasn't completely story driven, the visual style was original, the card game was better and there were floating chocobo islands!

indeed now the graphics of FF7 sucks major, but back then that was like top of the line, so to speak. but yes they could and should make a remake of FF VII. and MAYBE they will, they have not closed the idea of a remake. so that means the idea is still in the air... i mean it would sell like crazy mostlikely so thats good money for them right?. maybe they'll make an aniversery edition. or something like that....only time will tell.........:cool:

A really good one thats not up there is 12 i think thats the only console game where i've put in over 130 hours and the fact that when ur in battle with something you can run around freely and pretty much control the enemy into attacking who you want the storyline wasn't to bad either and then cinematics are excellent

oh! i agree on that one. i liked this also all the fun card games or whatever. the love story. and yes they finaly looked like humans! but eh.. cloud is a badas with square pixels.

I think X-2 was made for female gamers....my ex girlfriend seemed to enjoy it a hell of alot more then i did...(she wasn't even a huge gamer!)

Alright so I started out with ff11 and though I would love the series, because I loved Kingdome hearts. But I never really got into it… idk if it was just because I started out with the wrong one or what. I've played Crisis Core...and its really awsome....it helpes explain alot...and if you do the side story's you learn alot about all of the character's before FF7

I personaly liked all of them up to 9 because that's where I stoped playing them.......my FF9 disc was messed up...and I could never get 10 installed on my computer lol.......stupid looping instalation....

Yeah FFXIII does look pretty good. both of em. No i'm not seeing double vision, theres two, FFXIII and FFXIII Versus, where you play as Storm, the new badazz dude. (I think thats what he's called. not really sure.)

IX was one the most expansive games that have been made. But for me it suffered from the same thing that VIII did, it was TOO easy. Once i got zidane his last weapon, then there was no challenge at all. For VIII the junctioning made the characters too strong too fast and once i hit the second disk i had the strength to beat the final boss.

On a happier note. I used to have a black label FF VII but i let my brother take it with him when he moved. Before i found out how rare it was. But I finally got a replacement. Black Label Disks in perfect condition, with a slight crack in the case. it onyl cost me $40. Yeah for me.
