Hello everyone. I recently changed my gamertag to Dragon Lady Ash, but I have been known as Echo Fox 1980 for the longest time. You can call me Ashley, Ash, Echo, or whatever else strikes your fancy.

I'd really like to join PMS. I've read the rules and sent a message to the right person. Now I just wait patiently and anxiously.

I'm pretty tough on the outside, but inside I'm a very sensitive girl. Most of the people who play console games online are boys. And most of them aren't very nice. I put up my emotional shields to deal with this, but these guys really put it to the test. Even when they're on the same team, they really don't care.

But I'm fortunate to have some friends who do show respect and make me feel good about myself. When I play with these people, that's when my kill count goes way up! That's why I think it's important to encourage each other and work together as a team.

I consider myself a Halo tactician. I stay awake late thinking of different strategies to different maps and game types. I spend hours alone with a spare controller looking for unique sniper locations. I've even developed a method of long-range artillery bombardment with the Wraith and a scout/spotter, among other things.

My Halo 3 playing style is usually sneaky, but I can run and gun if necessary. I'm best with mid-range weapons such as the BR or Carbine. Long range sniping is my second best skill, particularly if I find a good hiding spot. Unfortunately, in extreme close combat, I am often at a loss.

In my non-gaming life, I work at a pizza place. I'm potentially up for a management position, so I'm a little excited, but I don't want to get my hopes up too high.

I'm also a musician. I started out on drums and percussion in high school, but I have recently started learning electric guitar. One of my dreams is to do this professionally, but I know I have a long way to go.

I don't speak very often, but when I do, I try to make it profoundly wise or suddenly funny, depending on the situation. But, I do not "trash talk" or otherwise speak poorly to others. I've tried it, and I really don't like it. It makes me feel worse than if someone was speaking poorly to me.

Anyway, my gamertag is the same as this forum name, Dragon Lady Ash. I mostly play Halo 3 but will have more once I can afford it.

Thanks for the warm welcomes :)

Apology for the length, I guess I got carried away. But it's so rare to meet people who are interested in the same things AND aren't harsh. So I am a bit excited about making acquaintances here.

Just a quick update: Finally worked out a time for an interview and now I'm starting to collect practice hours. Thanks to the recruiters for helping me find a time I was not working :)

I'm available pretty much every night; Halo 3 is one of my hobbies. My gamertag is Dragon Lady Ash, if anyone ever needs an extra party member. I'm looking forward to upping my skill and possibly getting into some professional teams someday.

I thought it would be fun to do a little self-evaluation. Hopefully I'm neither too lenient or strict upon myself.

Strengths:
-Survival; Almost always has a positive K/D ratio, even if kills are not particularly high.
-Objectives; Strategy is something I've enjoyed studying over the years, and I enjoy even more applying it to online games. Objective games are more often won than lost for my team.
-Stealth; It's hard to resist running around to avoid getting hit, but sometimes it's best to take advantage of a silent radar. I've had my fair share of flanking maneuvers and assassinations thanks to patience and a low profile.
-Light Vehicles; The majority of my Perfection medals are due to effective use of the Ghost in team games. Keep the dreaded Laser away from the other team and I become virtually unstoppable in any light vehicle. I recognize the value of having a Warthog driver and gunner who think in unison.
-Rifles; The most versatile weapon, the BR, is one of my top weapons in regards to skill. There is room for improvement, but it is more fine-tuning than anything.

Weaknesses:
Frustration; It's a common problem, competitive games can turn the most serene being into an angry nightmare. It's no surprise, however, considering the levels of stress we have to deal with on a daily basis. We come home intent on relaxing with a nice video game only to have our adrenaline pump a bit more when the other team pulls ahead.
Grenades; Although I do get some fortunate hits with grenades, more often than not, my supply is quickly wasted. I also have trouble getting stickies to keep, even at close range.
Heavy vehicles; As skilled as I am with light vehicles, I do have problems with the tanks. For whatever reason, even the mighty Scorpion can't seem to take out a person on foot while I'm driving it, and I never seem to get a good hit on enemy tanks....even if I fire first, I usually am killed first. Also, I'm more used to the movement controls for the tank in Halo 2. Now it feels incredibly cumbersome. I have the same problems with the Wraith that I do with grenades - can't seem to predict just where to plant my shot.
Close-ranged weapons; With the exception of the SMG, I have problems if someone gets too close. I really don't have a lot of luck with the shotgun, sword, hammer, or even the Mauler. I would rather pack an SMG than any of these weapons.
Equipment; I just can't seem to put out things like Bubble shield or regenerator at the right time. Either I drop it too early and waste it, or I drop it too late and simply give the enemy a chance to recuperate their shields after they finish me off, leaving my teammates at a disadvantage. On the other hand, if it's not used at all, it falls to the ground for the enemy to pick up. Offensive equipment such as power drain and trip mine offer similar troubles; too often, I endanger my own team with them to be of any use.
Snipers; Everyone's favorite weapon. Certainly mine, since I'm a huge firearms fanatic. When I get a chance to sit back and pick the enemy off, I really like using it. On the other hand, I am more confident using a BR when the enemy comes within the effective range of it. I put snipers as one of my weak points because, while I'm excellent with body shots, I have a lot of trouble hitting heads. By the time I've got enough aim to pull it off, my target or one of their friends usually starts shooting at me, which throws everything off of course.

Anyway, that's all I could think up at the moment. Perhaps more to come.
