Your guidance shines like a bright light,
Your strength, gives me the hope
That when I'm lost, I'll find a way
To be able to cope.
But isn't that the point, dear man?
See, isn't that my right?
If something happens, who will be
My shoulder, through the night?
Everybody needs someone
To help them through the pain.
Partners hold our hands and try
To help relieve the strain.
But foolishly, my heart wants you
So how can you support?
It's when I need, not when you can,
At least, that's what I thought.
I only want to see it through.
I need to understand.
I need to find a way to deal with it.
