Hello every one. I can say this is most forum activity PS has had in its history. Sweet and Tears and myself are the last of the original PS2 PMS memebers and I think they would agree we have never untill now had people as active on the forums as you are. Thanks for all the effort One day we will be looked at as the power house on PS3 that xbox has already achieved.

PS3 IS the shizzzz. Had an original xbox back in the day after I broke my ps2 ( I broke it, it didnt just quit working one day like xbox and 360) played it for a month and siad f*&% it went out and got a ps2 again. Needless to say the xbox sat and collected dust, untill I gave it to my cousin when his xbox quit working. It was a 300 dollar waste of money!!!!!! I vowed then to never ever buy a system other than Playstation. I might get the wii for my son though.

Today on Xbox360Fanboy.. there was an article about the 360 having a rise in sales.. i checked out the comments and some of these people have the nerve to say **** like "well ps3 had there moment, but apparently they've never heard of Gears 2, it's going to kill the ps3" and it's like.. what about Socom? what about LittleBIGPlanet? what about Resistance 2? What about Bioshock? (yes i know it was already on 360). PS3 has so many great games coming out this season I have a feeling that it's going to be the console to buy this christmas. Not to mention EA said that they are going to start using the PS3 as the Lead console for developing, which is great because its means both consoles will get the most of out the games. so ya. /rant

good question! go to the main page of the forums (forums home page) and look for the "want to join pms/h2o" section. once there go all the way into the ps3 cod4 area ( i think it says ps3 cod4 ) h2o divisions and you should see some threads about divisions that people think we should have. post a new thread about the game or games you would like to see divisions for. hope that helps.:mvwink:

I'm just wondering what game everyone is looking forward to playing in the near and dear future. I myself am extremely excited to play LittleBIGPlanet, Resistance 2, Home, Rock Band 2, Skate 2, Killzone 2, and Far Cry 2.. I just don't know how I'm going to get the money for all of these games ._.
LittleBIGPlanet and Skate 2 I'm getting for sure because I pre-ordered both back in June.. but ya, not so sure on the others.. especially rock band 2... it's like what 200 dollars?..
I'm also curious to know (for all you future LBP players) why you bought the game, and what kind of idea's you have for the level creator.. I thought the game looked incredible from day one. A lot of texture, color, and creativity.. not to mention just seeing a Sackboy/girl could make an emo kid happy. As for level ideas.. after seeing the "skate to victory" level, I think I want to create a level that is skate themed.. I don't have the beta.. so I don't know much about the objects and what you can adjust on them, but I would make the skateboard a little smaller and makes something similar to a skate park.. or like a downhill skateboard race.. I don't know.. I'm at the point now where I'm just going to start saying whatever comes to mind... so I'll wrap it up.. LittleBIGPlanet is going to rock your socks.. whether you want it to or not. (even if your not wearing socks!) The only game I think I'm more excited for is Skate 2.. and that's cause almost ALL of my friends skateboard.. so I'm kind of around it all the time... yup

and socom is aggrevating me ...supposibly its my modem, so i've been told.

i deleted the beta, installed it, did the system update, etc etc
and when i get to the Update Version 1.10 ..it finishes but not completely i guess you'd say... it says AN ERROR OCCURED DURING DOWNLOAD OPERATION or whatever.

Basically they're delaying the game and recalling the already shipped products because one of the themes for a level contains verses from the Quran in it's lyrics. It has been deemed offensive and now the game will be delayed.

for me...i dont want COD5 ... for me COD5 is too easy, no real challenge and with all those lil perks... socom, yes, is socom but its more challenging..u get what u get, no Last Stand or Stripping power no airstrikes .. so its more challenging, at least in my case. but Socom (already got but cant get on >.<) LBP, HOME(when it comes) and MAYBE!!! No cod5 for me eathier. May buy it just to play once in a while. To see all the wonderfull people we have recruited that decide not to get socom. For me socom is the game to end all games. The only game I like better than socom is resident evil. So when RE5 comes out I will be taking at 3-5 day hiatus to shoot some zombies!!!!!

As sweet said COD is to easy one shot kills when you hit some ones big toe. How realistic is that??? I gaureentee If I shot u in the toe you would not die. I need a game with a bit of a challange. Not to mention COD5 is WWII yuck!!!

Enter socom you have a life bar that you can see. An acutal clan roster ( no switching tags or having to worry about clan members doing it) If you shoot some one in the head they actually drop from one shot. You can take cover and not get shot through 3ft concreet walls. You have a warring ladder built in. The servers are 100 x better. You can choose what game you want to play in and if some one cheats, talks sh!t, or just generally get on your nerves you can vote them from the room and they cannot return.


In my oppinon COD4 is a good beginer game. If you want a game that takes skill and team work Socom is it.


Call of duty served its purpose to rebuild the playstation division and I still love you all and will frequent cod4 and get a wonderfull leader to take my place so please dont feel abandoned.:mvpmsh2o:

I would have to say the game to end all games is either going to be Resistance 2 or MAG.. Probably MAG.. 256 Players.. >_> it don't get much crazier than that.

I don't necessarily think number of players in a game = better. You usually can't get 6 people to work together in an online shooter. If you think you're going to get 256 to work together you've got another think coming lol.

...i never said 256 meant better. I simply said it's something no one's seen before.. it's a shooter taken to a whole different level. Whereas Socom.. is just another socom game. I apologize for not being a 12yearold fanboy about it.. I never liked Socom. As for CoD4.. you can all say what you want about it, It's one of the highest selling games in 2008.. and It's still one of the most played online games to date.. so they must have done something right.. I myself am getting sick of ALL shooters.. I wish the PS3 would get a half decent RPG.. I can't wait for White Knight Chronicles or Last Remnant to finally come out..

Sorry but no PS Game has posted the numbers that socom 2 did with online players. For a year straight there was 30-50 thousand people online at all times. The only reason COD was the number one selling game is because it was avalible on every platform. Ask half the xbox guys why they have dusted off their playstations, Not for Cod thats for sure.

and too all you who think it's going to be a prettier version of the first *glares evilly at Lindzoo* It is much better than the first, the controls have been tweaked a tad to make them feel like other fps'.. the visuals are much better, the map you get to play is HUGE!!.. the Co-op demands you work as a team or else you will fail.. and it will be an epic fail. It is soo much better than the first.. I didn't care for the first.. and for a while i didn't even want this game, but after playing the beta I've totally changed my mind.. This is a must have. to all you nah-say-ers.. rent it and try it or gtfo.. no use trying to get threw the thickened skull of someone who won't give something a shot. so ya..

so uh.. what games are all of you currently playing?

I've been playing CoD4, LBP, Skate, and occasionally NHL08.. i might trade NHL 08, Burnout, and Resistance 1 in for either Farcry 2 or Resistance 2.. Lindz tells me farcry 2 wasn't very good.. so I'm leaning more towards Resistance 2. But now I'm think.. maybe I'll just hold onto the store-credit until Skate 2 comes out
I dunno.. heh.. not many games are really appealing to me lately.. LBP was fun.. and the create mode is entertaining.. but when your by yourself it gets boring after a while.. CoD4 is always going to be awesome, but sometimes I feel like I overplay it a little bit. Skate still keeps me busy.. but that's only because I LOVE skateboarding. NHL08 is fun as well, but 09 is out and has the updated rosters..

I'm really looking forward to White Knight Chronicles.. I'm an RPG player at heart.. and it'll be nice to get back into a solid RPG title.. Final Fantasy for me has been slipping a bit in terms of story.. 7, 8, 9, and even 10 had pretty solid stories.. 10-2 was clearly SquENIX trying to milk FF10 for all they could.. which resulted in the shittiest game I've ever played.. 11 was online and pay-to-play so i never played it. 12 redeemed the series but I never got to finish it because my Ex took it before I could finish it. I'm looking forward to 13 and 13 Versus.. Especially Versus, looks like it has a 7-8 feel to it.

Another game I'm looking forward to is GOW3 (**** gears. God Of War is the true GOW)

So yeah.. what is everyone else playing/wanting to play? and what games did you love to play growing up?

Then I was introduced to Final Fantasy 10.. and I was like.. "whoa.. this is epic" and from then on it was all about the RPGs.. I actually didn't really get into shooters until PS3 and Cod4.. I think I played Halo on pc for a little but it never kept my attention.. it was too boring.
